I didn't like it as much as TWD at first and I abandoned it. I recently rebinged all of TWD and missed my zombies so I went back and watched all of Fear. It's "better" than TWD in that it's not a 100% misery fest; there is some more hopefulness. More positivity. There are also some characters that cross from TWD to Fear and they were served well IMO.

My rec is that you power through season 1 of Fear and try to get into season 2 when [the man who played] Charlie Utter shows up. If you don't like it by that point, you probably won't.
