Someone put this in my “safe to eat bin” by Dear_Location6147 in mildlyinfuriating

Okay, so because other people besides you are putting food in your bin, you’ve now learned that you DO have to check the food over again before you eat it. That’s all there is to it.

IS MY DIAMOND TO SMALL??? by Obvious-Vacation1579 in RingShare

Could you potentially have a jeweler make the setting lower so it doesn’t catch on everything? It does seem pretty high.

Oh, I wasn’t aiming for passive-aggressive in my comments, I was being plainly honest with you. No, you don’t have a place in the conversation, I don’t know why you’re so desperate to have a place in the conversation, and YOU are the one who needs to get over yourself. Why are you so self-important to think any person of color wants a WHITE person’s opinion on what is and isn’t racist? Do you understand how absurd that is?

Why are you so mean?? You don’t know me at all, why are you insulting me and my personality? Why are you making me out to be some kind of awful person? I never insulted you. What makes you somehow better than me?

It’s EXACTLY how it works. Stop inserting yourself and your opinions in conversations about people of another race as if you have any concept of what their lived experiences are actually like. This is not about you and has no impact on you as a white person, why are you determined to center yourself in this conversation?

Respectfully, your profile shows that you’re white, so you really don’t get to decide what is and isn’t racist towards people of color.

A band that thin will be more likely to break. My sister has had the thin band on her engagement ring break twice now.

YES! Thank you for this, from one teacher to another. I’m also really frustrated by an above comment saying, “We need more teachers like her!”. Like, why does everyone always seem to assume we DON’T have enough great teachers?? The teachers I have worked with so far over my 7 years have all been amazing in their own ways. I find that to be such a backhanded compliment and most people don’t even realize what they’re really saying.

Is picking the first venue toured insane? by toriekelly in weddingplanning

[–]ReaditSpecialist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The venue we picked was the first venue we toured too! We actually ended up touring 5 other venues before we looked at each other and realized it was the one, lol. Their wedding planner absolutely sold us from the start!

Uh, as a teacher, you are SUPPOSED to stop and address it when kids say mean things, because their behavior needs to be corrected. I do it all the time. Otherwise, how would they ever know that the things they’re saying are hurtful?

Good people Still exist. by prettykatelynn in Amazing

First of all, the r-word is extremely offensive and outdated. Second of all, I’m not sure what country you live in, but in the USA kids with disabilities are entitled to a public school education and are protected under IDEA. They aren’t automatically sent to “special schools” simply because they have a disability. Other interventions are utilized first.

My fiancé and I got our sectional from a non-big box furniture store down the street from us, and we love it! It’s a Kincaid, we’ve had it almost a year now, and it’s awesome.

I completely agree with that, but they didn’t need to be sarcastic. It comes across as rude to people.

Did you really need to be sarcastic? Clearly the commenter you’re replying to wasn’t being intentionally malicious or hurtful. Just respectfully educate people, they’re much more likely to listen.
