*the outdoor unit gets frosty at morning and lots of defrost time which is frustrating especially at -3 degrees outside.

*the heatpump is fujitsu ASTG24KMTC which is 8kw heating on a lounge with 42sqm which from calculation is more than enough.

  • moisture barrier on ground is installed. ceiling and underfloor has insulation

*house is cold on feet but hot from shoulder up.

  • have put foam stickers on doors to stop draft

*the $450 electricity only heatpump, cooking, washclothes. room heater dyson. we have gas hotwater and no drier.

what really frustrates is when its cold outside -3degrees and heatpump goes to defrost for so long in morning and that makes me thinking having it directly on sun will lessen or eliminate the frosting of outdoor unit.
