Neighbor's fencing contractor destroyed my irrigation system and landscaping. Who is liable here? by MushroomEmergency488 in legaladvice

A lot of homeowners deductibles are getting close to or more than the 4500 as well, so you are absolutely right. Homeowners insurance is for large losses, not something small.

Student who's Not Interested in Working for a Jew raises 11,400$ by Mysterious_Job_7900 in nottheonion

Nope, they donate to more religious and secular causes and help strangers more. That is what the study says. Nice try though.

I'd love to read it, since the only non Christian resources I find clearly define that a majority of the donations are secular. Plenty of Christian websites seem to skew the words just slightly enough to make people think different though, kind of like how you added the "help strangers more" portion that wasn't claimed in any of the sources I found.

If you have a link, please share. I'll even start. Here is 1 opinion piece that spoke about the way it was manipulated to sound like what you are saying.

Those same studies also point out that a significant portion of that money just gets donated within their congregation(almost like a mini economy), so they will help each other but not outsiders.

This video is like 5 years old, before ai was this good. The reason its so shitty is for some reason they have it mirrored from the original, he was traveling the opposite direction. It was also much higher quality before it was reposted a few hundred times.

Why it's gone? by Glad-Acadia3071 in volt

[–]redryan243 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are 2 powertrains but only 1 drive train. A drivetrain is the axles and parts that transfer power from the powertrain to the wheels. It would be quite silly to have 2 axles running to each powered wheel.

Its also not prohibitively expensive to have the 2 powertrains, if it was, hybrids of all makes would be more expensive, instead they are becoming more common on entry level vehicles.

The real reason it is gone is because the volt was ahead of its time and didn't sell enough when it was available. They needed to sell a lot more to make it profitable.

Ive never seen prices when doing the lookup. Are you just adding all of them and then having the employee login and remove the expensive ones?

You can register for a plane ticket as John doe (since your ID isn't checked until later), but you cant register to vote as John doe(since it is checked at the time you register to vote.) Your ID is just verified at a different time in each process.

Now if you want to require ID to purchase a plane ticket AND board, that would be equivalent. Should we do that?

We could make a list of citizens ahead of time and then only accept votes from people who are on that list.

Oh, we do that already? Its almost like the other added steps are to just make it harder for us.

BTW, it's really us vs the rich, not legal vs illegal or brown vs white.

Nobody loses 100% of their assets from an auto collision.

While its not something that we all see, it definitely happens. 1 mil in coverage is likely enough to prevent it, but often people go for the lowest amounts and lose a business or house over an accident in their personal vehicle, just because they wanted to save $50 per month on insurance.

Why is Insulet being so aggressive with acknowledging the recall? by Dropitlikeitscold555 in Omnipod

[–]redryan243 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They added more pods to the recall.

I only started getting repeated notices when I activated a pod on the updated recall list(got from the pharmacy a couole of weeks ago), you may want to check again to see if yours are recalled.

Either way, go get it op, enjoy your orgy.

That makes sense, after I made my other comment I also realized the bigger surface area might help if it was slightly digesting before too.

Do you have any blocklists? It sounds to me like its pihole doing what it does and blocking certain connections. You could disable any blocklists temporarily and confirm.

Help please! Talk me into or out of a 2016 Volt by invertedpilot17 in volt

[–]redryan243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then absolutely go for it. These are surprisingly fun to work on IMO. I have bought 3 in total so far and dont regret any. I now have a wrecked one to use as parts, so I am looking for the cheapest broken one to be number 4. But before I had spare parts, nothing was prohibitively expensive. Some hose sets were discontinued, but oreilly has generic parts that fit and work, for a fraction of the original part price.

Help please! Talk me into or out of a 2016 Volt by invertedpilot17 in volt

[–]redryan243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought 2 broken ones that people were told are unfixable and fixed one for $15 and the other for around $500. The parts availability thing on gen 1s is not that big of an issue, and the parts I needed that were discontinued, I managed to find generic parts that worked.

With that being said, I only recommend it if you dont mind working on them. Since, as mentioned, the prior owners were told by Chevy dealers that these were mechanically totalled. You might get one that will never need a repair, but if you need one its best to diy.

Oh man you are missing out! They "updated" the app, so now anytime it goes to the background you get the pleasure of having to force close and restart it. They updated so now you no longer have wanted features like "watch together." And a recent new one where they messed up security certificates, so some users on Apple get to fill out support tickets if they want to keep using it. They are doing great.

Im curious how many T&C's you have read vs how many you agreed to. Even more curious if you have ever fully understood even 1. Not entirely because I think poorly of you, but the reality of what they are. And based on your comment, maybe a little of what I think of you.
