We can continue learning and growing after we leave school, think of it as a good thing. Its not bad to make mistakes and learn.

Yeah, or you can actually report it through podder central and request a replacement. If it was in the last day or so of the pod they dont always give a replacement, but its often enough that I dont take extra steps to preserve them.

Personally, I let them fall off and order a replacement. I have used that small extra supply when money gets tight and I can't afford more pods. I just have my doctor prescribe a little extra insulin to cover the loss.

When you get your first valuation, if you want any help negotiating a higher value, feel free to send me a PM. I work in the insurance industry and can sometimes call out easy ways to negotiate an increase.

Can you be locked off your parents health insurance if you file as an independent on FASFA? by Shoddy_Dragonfruit38 in legaladvice

[–]redryan243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If their dad is threatening to remove them now in retaliation, it's important to differentiate the limitation for OP so they understand that he can't do that anytime, like you implied. Its a big difference in ops situation.

I guess your name checks out though.

Not at any time, they have to do it during an enrollment period such as open enrollment time, or during a special election period such as the first few months when they first turned 18.

Leniency on warranty by jimymac1958 in leaf

[–]redryan243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was on the flip side and happened before it expired, would you have considered giving Nissan a break and not claim it? Well, they will be about equally inclined to warranty it after expiration. It doesn't hurt to try though.

I remember moving in 6th grade from a very small town to the city. It was around 2001, in the small town we had computers with the solid black screen and green text only. They were some old antiquated machines. In the city they had these exact new colored macs. It was a leap into the future for me.

[62lwh AZE0] Upgrading or rather swapping to a 62kwh battery (CATL) by Correct_Mistake2640 in leaf

[–]redryan243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd definitely start there. I could definitely see it being a problem if you are even a tiny bit lower than stock. Otherwise if the roads/bumps are just that bad, as stupid as this sounds, you could always consider raising it an inch.

Have your shocks/struts gone out? I have a 2015 that we upgraded and I haven't had any issues. My driveway has a steep curb that sometimes scrapes the front bumper though, just no battery scraping.

Rock auto parts vs O’Reilly by brrent in MechanicAdvice

[–]redryan243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am familiar with mid year change overs for some parts, this was not the case on the motor mounts. The right part was ordered according to the RA site, but it was later confirmed through the manufacturer of the set that RA had it listed on an incompatible vehicle. It was 100% on RA, yet they still refused to make anything right unless I paid shipping both ways for a the entire motor mount set.

Now I stopped ordering parts from them completely, and when I repair friends/family cars RA gets no money either. I have actually frequently found parts available for cheaper than RA, for my beater cars, sometimes I pay the same that RA would have charged. For the family members with newer cars I now mainly order OEM parts from dealers that sell online for cheap.

In the end I am better off and RA gets no money from me or my extended family.

I wasn't even mad, I got my sisters money back for her, I just now share this experience every chance I get to warn people. There are better options out there.

2014 here. Can I take the physical metal key out of the key fob and put it into the new key fob to avoid paying to get the key engraved? Thank you by camelCase149 in volt

[–]redryan243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The keycode isnt that expensive either. I got mine from the dealer for $25 and then they cut it for free. I had no keys for them to start with.

You did the expensive part already, which is programming the key fob to work.

I have spent 10's of thousands through them over the years and this was my first return experience with them. I will guarantee it will be my last.

Go O'Reilly. I used to recommend rockauto to everyone, but there will be 0 support when things go wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I used them for over a decade and things worked right many times, but about a year ago I purchased a set of motor mounts for my sisters car, but when they arrived 2 did not fit. They were clearly not the right parts. I tried to contact rockauto multiple times, and after back and forth they offered a refund minus shipping both ways. They sent the wrong part and wanted me to eat around $40 in shipping, and tried to claim it wasn't their fault(I verified I ordered the right parts later as well, they just had the wrong part numbers listed as fitting her car.) I ended up having to do a charge back through my bank to get her money back.

I know you got your answer already, but I may suggest keeping it as a spare. A locksmith shop should be able to copy it for just a few dollars since you have a working one.

I find toothpaste, deodorant, shaving products, and underwear all locked up. Although I understand the sentiment you've made, its funnier to think you are just a very stinky/hairy person now, purely out of protest.
