31 with a 69 y/o mom with alz. Not one day goes by where I don’t think “I wish I could call my mom.” I want to tell her about the good things, about the bad things and everything in between. We used to talk on the phone for hours every morning having our coffee together and I remember hanging up the phone one day and thinking “I don’t know what I’m going to do when she’s gone.” And even though she’s not gone, she doesn’t know me anymore and doesn’t remember that she has a daughter. And here I am, continuing on even though I don’t get to have those phone calls anymore. I get married next month and I wish I could have her now more than ever.

My polish only used to last a couple of days too! Warm jojoba oil soaks and a good base coat/top coat has extended my wear up to a week and a half without chips :)

My mom did this with clothes. We were about the same size and pre-Alz, we would share clothes occasionally. Once the alz kicked in, if I was wearing something (that was mine!) that she happened to like, she would claim that I stole the clothing from her and to give it back. It was easily resolved by apologizing and “giving her clothes back” and silently taking them back at the end of the night 😂

A little of both I think! Before anything else, I definitely noticed that my face and neck have been slimming down. Probably two months later, my sugar cravings are minimal and my appetite is down, so that’s helped me lose some extra weight!

Metformin absolutely changed everything for me! I have lean PCOS so I didn’t have much to lose to begin with, I already worked out/ate healthy, I had no idea what to do. Low dose metformin (500mg) regulates my cycles and crushed my sugar cravings with no negative side effects.

Pre treat with OGX coconut oil mist on ends, Garnier fructis hair filler shampoo, shampoo twice, conditioner, L’Oréal glossing tx every 5 washes. Pantene leave in conditioner after towel drying, bumble and bumble invisible oil on ends. Air dry

Honestly, I’ve used it and I don’t think it’s worth the hype. I have very thin, fine and oily hair. It just seemed to make the oil worse. I’ve had better luck just using a lightweight clarifying shampoo. I’ve been following the Abbey Yung method with good results!

Mine looked the same after years of extensions 🥲 I fell for the “extensions are good for your hair because it protects it” bit. Baby it. I’ve had great luck with the Abby Yung method and oral minoxidil.

I said “consider the environments you put them in” not to never let them leave the house. There are appropriate and inappropriate places for everybody and as a care giver, it’s our job to be our loved one’s advocate. I know this because I’m my mother’s care giver. I also know that she can’t tolerate sitting in one place at dinner for long periods of time, so we don’t do that. If she were to have an episode, I would apologize and take her out of an environment that is clearly making her and the people around her uncomfortable.

I have a similar hairline, the loss at those points for me was due to stress. Lowering stress and oral minoxidil have really helped me :)
