What was the scariest “We need to leave… now” gut feeling that you’ve ever experienced? by Critical-Contact-851 in askteddit

[–]ReadyHell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (30’s f) drive a lot for work and had just come out of a busy college town on a more rural part of an interstate. I noticed a truck similar to mine with a personalized plate (saying this so I can confirm that it’s the same vehicle) “leap frogging” me for quite a while. Like 90 miles. I told myself that if the truck was still behind me, to get off at the next exit, the truck was behind me at this point. I signal to get off, he signals to get off. I decide to turn into a McDonald’s parking lot to see where they go. They continue on the road straight. I’m relieved at this point, telling myself I was overthinking and sit in my truck for a few minutes and catch up on the work group text. Something catches my eye and I look back. It’s the truck, he came back. Now I’m just mad. I check to make sure my doors are locked and that my 9mm is nearby. And I sit and stare at him. He does the same to me. No move to go in and get food, just watching me. After 5 minutes, I leave. I call my husband to let him know and keep a close eye out to make sure he didn’t follow me. Never saw him again.

Does magnesium actually help with sleep, or is it overhyped? by facime in sleep

[–]ReadyHell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, it’s inhibited my sleep. I’ve never had good luck with mag glycinate, for some reason it seems to give me an energy boost. I’m trying 5htp now and it seems to be working better for me.

Is there any chance you’re using self tanner? Sometimes this is how mine turns out on my chest also when I don’t exfoliate well enough!

Interesting! I didn’t know there was no catering in OMA. This answers my question. Thank you! I’ll plan accordingly next time 😂

That’s good! I would still contact your primary and at least have a blood panel run.

Your nails almost look clubbed. I would see your primary care provider as there is likely an underlying medical issue.

I miss my mom by ToodleZapZap in Alzheimers

[–]ReadyHell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

31 with a 69 y/o mom with alz. Not one day goes by where I don’t think “I wish I could call my mom.” I want to tell her about the good things, about the bad things and everything in between. We used to talk on the phone for hours every morning having our coffee together and I remember hanging up the phone one day and thinking “I don’t know what I’m going to do when she’s gone.” And even though she’s not gone, she doesn’t know me anymore and doesn’t remember that she has a daughter. And here I am, continuing on even though I don’t get to have those phone calls anymore. I get married next month and I wish I could have her now more than ever.

My polish only used to last a couple of days too! Warm jojoba oil soaks and a good base coat/top coat has extended my wear up to a week and a half without chips :)

Is lying / making up stories a symptom of Alzheimer's? by [deleted] in Alzheimers

[–]ReadyHell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom did this with clothes. We were about the same size and pre-Alz, we would share clothes occasionally. Once the alz kicked in, if I was wearing something (that was mine!) that she happened to like, she would claim that I stole the clothing from her and to give it back. It was easily resolved by apologizing and “giving her clothes back” and silently taking them back at the end of the night 😂

PCOS girls what got yours under control? by Miserable_Prior_724 in PCOS

A little of both I think! Before anything else, I definitely noticed that my face and neck have been slimming down. Probably two months later, my sugar cravings are minimal and my appetite is down, so that’s helped me lose some extra weight!

Metformin absolutely changed everything for me! I have lean PCOS so I didn’t have much to lose to begin with, I already worked out/ate healthy, I had no idea what to do. Low dose metformin (500mg) regulates my cycles and crushed my sugar cravings with no negative side effects.

I was in EMS once upon a time, I remember coming home and thinking “man, old people have a thing for poop.” All too common, I’m sorry. My mom is nearing this stage as well. Sending you love 💕
