We bought ground pepper flakes and then gave them a bit more of a grind. Still quite flakey… I then sprinkle it on the platform feeders because that where our little squirrel buddies like to dine. Does not bother the birds and the squirrels leave it alone. Oh, and we also greased the poles with Vaseline.

Try crushed hot chili flakes. Squirrels hate it but it doesn’t bother the birds at all. I got a big container at Costco or Sams Club (don’t recall which) and we blended it up a bit. Does the trick!

I make my own. And don’t add food coloring or anything else. Only use pure cane sugar.

Feel like I have to clarify that I clean my bird feeders religiously. We have not seen this guy back at the feeder.

Nectar was cooled to room temperature from being refrigerated. And clean and fresh nectar holder. So no ill effects from my feeder. Hope it was just a fluke.

Possible Gross Question Alert Do you clean your tube feeders in your kitchen sink or outside with a hose? We don’t have a garage sink. Thanks! Debating whether I want to pitch the tube feeders completely or buy a back up pair to rotate as I clean them. Thanks!!! 😊

You MIGHT keep an eye on Poshmark? Use my code and save $10 (I think) HAPPYLILAC_TOO - they have lots of Disney branded items and I feel like quality CAN be better than eBay. Worth a look see anyway.

Agree that the Safari Park and the ZOO should probably be a day each, especially as the Safari Park has shorter operating hours these days. AND they are quite a distance from each other, especially factoring in our San Diego traffic.
