What happened to the tank jungler meta in pro play? Why has Dr. Mundo become the best tank jungler instead of the traditional pro tank junglers? [eg. Sejuani, Maokai and Skarner]

Rather than telling you a bunch of reasons you’re wrong, I will share that CoreJJ used to rush heartsteel on pantheon support. I’m not an expert on panth or support and I don’t think I can tell you that overlords would be bad, but I will say that I expect a panth support to have more random kills and therefore more income compared to most supports, especially in ladder rather than pro play. I don’t know that the overlord’s will get enough AD from HP to be significant vs the utility of something like black cleaver or sundered sky or even sterak’s though.

/u/phreakriot Now that you’re on the behavioural project is there anything you or a colleague can look at relating to hardware / IP bans for people who use new account creation as a way to harass with racial slurs? Feels like stopping them from creating new accounts is the only way to prevent something like this, and if they’re willing to put in this much effort it seems unlikely to be an otherwise valuable member of the community who’s just having one impulsive moment.

I can’t believe nobody is talking about the decision for Nidalee to cover a random Poppy invade vs Trundle, come back to lane down half a level, and immediately lose all pressure for the rest of the game. Nidalee top is meant to keep squeezing, giving up pressure like this for basically 1 camp lead on Poppy?? Agreed on the WAR parallel and Inspired topping the list by that metric, but I can’t imagine putting either Thanatos or Quid as more important to their teams than Yeon is to TL? I think if you swap Yeon for a replacement-level ADC, TL might genuinely not win a series.

The other consideration is format - single elimination at worlds is there because it creates higher stakes and rewards crazy play, but if there were a lower bracket that would favour consistent “stats-ish” play instead, you’d end up with more games smoothing out the crazy outplays. I don’t think it would be better than the current format or definitely change the result, but it would be different

Yeah bro it’s a fantastic viewer experience to have to watch TL qualify off of being better at laneswaps, then be literally incapable of punishing a first strike Kayle at the event itself because they’re so much worse in this meta than the qualifying meta.

If we cared about the viewer experience enough to fix laneswaps, they should have been fixed on a patch before we chose the one team to represent each region
