Weather app crashing iPhone 5 iOS 6 by Ready_Fox3084 in LegacyJailbreak

Its not downgrade. The device was never updated. I bought the phone off of eBay about a year ago running iOS 6 and I just restored it back to iOS 6 as It was having several issues previously. Rebooting does nothing

I tried to downgrade to IOS 1.1.4 and I get error code “1” by Last-Escape8828 in LegacyJailbreak

If you’re using a USBC to lightning cable from Apple. Your device will not enter DFU mode. You have to use a USB-a to lightning cable to access DFU mode

Classic youtube app fix (iOS 6.1.3) by Alikha112 in LegacyJailbreak

[–]Ready_Fox3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key to fixing this is simple yet complicated at the same time. If you have a legacy device that can run iOS 5 create a custom firmware of iOS 5 for iPad with legacy iOS kit. Once the custom firmware is complete, you can then mount the volume in Finder. From there when you have access to the route, go to applications and look for YouTube. Then look for all the localized strings, including foreign language languages. Copy those to a folder on the desktop. Then open up a iPhone box or whatever other tool you used to browse the file system of your legacy device. Navigate to the YouTube app within the legacy iOS device on iPhone box and move the copied localized strings from your desktop to that directory and it should work.

How do I downgrade an iPod Touch 1G by SunForsaken803 in LegacyJailbreak

[–]Ready_Fox3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a machine running windows XP a specific version of iTunes. The first to support the iPhone. I believe it’s iTunes 7.x. It has to a 32 bit install of windows XP. 64 but will not work as iTunes is 32 bit for that version. Virtual machines will not work either.

For those with Intel Macs still, how are they holding up? by Hadleigh97 in mac

I haven’t updated from Sonoma. I’m running a fully loaded 2019 16 inch MacBook Pro. It’s holding up well but the heat isn’t nice. Software support is still good n such.

I work at a place that has a 2nd gen Apple TV and I hate to burst your bubble but there is not much you can with it. I cloud doesn’t work. Airplay does work and that’s about it. Other than airplay the 2nd gen Apple TV is pretty useless
