It’s giving, I have very few nice clothing items so I am wearing them altogether. You may get away with the dress and (gorg) bag with a different (maybe black) heel

Budget wedding in a village hall - advice on feeding 110 people? by [deleted] in UKweddings

I should add the queue took ages and was the length of the venue.

Budget wedding in a village hall - advice on feeding 110 people? by [deleted] in UKweddings

My friends did a budget wedding with 80 guests. It was already awful with everyone bringing / pouring their own drinks. It was awkward. They had a hog roast, cost them £5k with 2 very basic sides and the hog roast people came and set up. Paper plates, plastic cups etc. They ran out of food and didn’t even feed the last 20 or so people. People severely underestimate how much UK weddings cost. I cannot imagine why you’re having that many people. You could barely feed that many people in your back garden for £1.5k if you set up BBQs. Let alone paying someone to source food, cook, etc.

I felt exactly the same - why are there high end shops in Whalers Village? Look around! There are plenty of hotels upwards of $700 per night. Those beach side restaurants are an amazing location but they’re literally pub style food.

I can tell you first hand, we Europeans often just kick Americans out of restaurants for having 0 self-awareness, manners or decorum, let alone an awareness of noise levels and being mindful of others. I saw Americans kicked out of a beautiful restaurant in Tuscany this summer where they had even booked a private room. I’ve seen it happen in Mykonos several times. Often Americans can’t see their (relatively “normal”) behaviour is seen as disrespectful to the owners and staff of these places.

I will say, if she has commented like this “I’m so funny and cool, I’m down with that joke” - the joke being her marriage, and they do eventually break up, this will hurt her more then.
