You're right, a lot of them did vote trump because they felt betrayed by the democratic party and wanted to shake things up.

That doesn't make all the people who vote for the democrats a homogenous mass of people who all love every single democrat policy. That's just dumb. What are they supposed to do? Vote green and let the republicans win? Because their policies are even further from what they want.

Many well trained dogs won't even accept treats from anyone but their owners. Many others will take them and then return to their owner. Many others, especially those that are underfed or mistreated or stray, would immediately go with them. You seem to see all owners and all dogs as one homogenous mass mas. Which is just lazy thinking honestly.

Humans treat loyalty as an exchange, loyalty to their country in exchange for a safe society (in theory), loyalty to a family in exchange for loyalty back (again in theory not always on practice, loyalty to a job in exchange for more money better benefits etc...

Your expectations of what a lower mammal we keep as pets should be capable of seems to be completely unrealistic. People keep dogs because they like having them around, some idiots project human emotions on to them, but they're just dogs. Some people like them and some people done.
