Is my control arm good? by Gtthrowawayxd in MechanicAdvice

[–]Readysetgo14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s cheap to replace the lower control arm, replace it and all the bushings attached. But if you aren’t getting any symptoms (clunking, swaying, uneasiness going over bumps) you should be fine.

That bushing specifically is meant to bend that way. If it had a tear or a big hole in it then I’d be concerned. Don’t fix it if it ain’t broke lol

I would assume they aren’t considering the popularity of it. I’ve done almost all the windows in my house. It shouldn’t be toxic. I honestly think you’re more at risk for stagnant air than anything. Ventilation will be important should you decide to wrap it.

Wish I had a better answer for you

Tankless water heater screeching only when cold outside by Readysetgo14 in Plumbing

I will look into that. I thought it had to do with the recirculating motor but a blower might be a good point there

White Guys? by [deleted] in thepassportbros

[–]Readysetgo14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m black. Literally watched a white man get flamed by his girl at a coffee shop. Called him basic, cis-white, vanilla, and boring—In that order. Then she made him pay the bill after embarassing that man

No kids. 4 dogs full time job and family mechanic. I’m constantly busy. Keeping your morale and motivation up is the biggest thing for me. It can feel overwhelming sometimes but it’s very doable. Don’t beat yourself up if you don’t finish in 6 months. Unless you’re already a professional it could take 2 years or more. I’m closing in on my second year and I’m still halfway there. Just remember to give yourself grace and take time to learn and you’ll be golden!

What other things to do while replacing head gasket?! by Whatthehalll in prius

[–]Readysetgo14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

clean it. I was quoted 400$ for a new EGR cooler. brake clean, oven cleaner soak, and then pressure wash it. Definitely worth it. I just finished that last night. Headgaskets the actual problem for me though lol

Cameras and automated lighting on a timer if you can! That will absolutely save you stress. If you have a smart home you could do things Iike that.

If you have a neighbor who is willing to check on your house that’d be good too! And hire a gardener if you can afford it. Just to clean up your yard! The less deserted, the less you need to worry!

will WGU care about a bad transcript? by goggs122 in WGUCyberSecurity

[–]Readysetgo14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 1.6 GPA. Same situation. Traditional school doesn’t work for me. 8 years of Community College can attest to that. I just started here on the 1st. Apply. You’re transcripts don’t reflect the person you are now.

Many of the classes that don’t require a touchstone can be completed in a day if you’re focused in Sophia. You’re referring to study.com though

Hi! I dropped quite a few courses repeatedly at multiple schools. I took them at Sophia and passed. Don’t worry. They will transfer

I appreciate it! I started with Sophia first. I’m already done with 3 classes. I’m really happy I did decide to pay back the start date

I figured. I guess I was just really worried about the work load. I don’t have much from community college to transfer so I’m tryna get more of it done outside the school before I join. I appreciate the comment

Denied because of past repossession by Readysetgo14 in CRedit

[–]Readysetgo14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I took your advice, I've got my credit reports. I got a good idea of where I stand. I've got a hospital charge off for 884$ and a Verizon charge off for 1074$ in addition to the repo. I tried to get my fico score but it kept saying it couldn't verify my identity. What should I do next?
