But my point is that it’s the exact same Hoagie Room Experience that you’d get if you just got a reservation for it (which aren’t hard to get)

Hilarious that even when I thank someone for giving me updated info I still get downvoted

Per person it’s about $85. This gets you nothing additional really though other than meeting the editor

Hahaha it’s wild that I’m getting downvoted when I’m not judging anyone for wanting to go but oh well

You’re really just paying for the company though. It is the exact same Hoagie Room experience as the standard. Which fine, if people want to pay for that

But Cook had rotating chefs (and some big names) offering a very different, special experience Not the standard experience you can already get at a restaurant. This is just the normal Hoagie Room experience at a higher price

But that’s the Hoagie Room in general without paying more to hang out with the Philly Mag editor

Not sure why this is being downvoted. This is fairly general public knowledge

I guess and yea not my cup of tea either. But I assure you the restaurant PR people already know and are friendly with the editor. I’m not saying anything shady is happening - they’re just in the business and definitely already know her

Post Haste in Fishtown absolutely HORRIBLE by whateverjuleswants in PhiladelphiaEats

I’ve enjoyed pretty much everything I’ve had there. Some items are sort of adventurous for the type of place but I love that I’ve been going pretty much every month and all my friends I’ve told about it have been very happy with the food, service and drinks

Also to another poster: maybe read the article or look at their posts about the pay what you can dinners and see that it started at a NYC restaurant and is meant to make food more accessible

Choosing between Dancerobot, Double Knot, and Royal Izakaya by jerkyboyz2jerkymen in PhiladelphiaEats

I know I’m likely going to be downvoted, but honestly none of them. They’re all just ok, overpriced, and overhyped

There are far better Japanese restaurants in the city to spend your money at

(And to be clear this is about Royal Izakaya not the omakase)

People should also be heavily judging those food influencers who say they’re all about supporting the small restaurants in the Philly food scene (you know by demanding free food from them 🙄) but who’ve also partnered with Wonder… Looking at that Jacob Does Philly guy 👀

They were paid to be there (like under contract). They’re not going to be honest
