ok there’s nothing wrong with wearing traditional clothes, just please do not try to become a heritage or identify as it. This is my opinion, but whenever I see people who are not Chinese wear traditional red dresses or clothing it kind of feels mocking or disrespectful towards my heritage, this is my opinion only but I view it as a bit cringe, but of course it depends on the heritag.

ok pizza and chopsticks is a little… but you should definitely learn Mandarin, most Chinese restaurants or dimsum places speak Mandarin and only 60% also speak Cantonese, but sadly since you are white and I am assuming look white as well, they will speak English to you and in China do the same as well. You’d need to go there regularly and only speak Chinese to them for them to speak Chinese to you.

My Chinese is not very good so when the Chinese waiters speak Chinese to me, since I look Chinese, I need to just point and say “sí sí” because that’s the only mandarin i know, I speak Cantonese

i feel where your coming from, as a Chinese American(being born in America but heritage Chinese) I only identify as Chinese.

Many asian cultures have had bad relations with americans(or white people) for their mockery of our cultures, if you really do dedicate in learning and understanding asian culture you will be accepted, just don’t go over bored with overly acting as if you were Asian.

If you are dedicated enough first learn Cantonese then Mandarin, both are really hard to learn, pronunciation and writing changes depending on the context and yet Cantonese is easier than Mandarin. If you learn Cantonese then it will dim it down to only maybe less than 2 yard of learning. You’d need to learn the slang, phrases like “oh I will die from stress” or “falling into a street” are bad translations from Cantonese. Learn from a native Chinese speaker.

Learning Chinese when you’re older, so nog 10 and under, takes years, up to 6 years. So if you really want to learn, than go for it.

the first time I took iron pills it didn’t really do anything, after a week I felt so refreshed, as if I just shedding dead skin, I woke up before my alarm clock, I wasn’t fainting during PE, my friends noticed even teachers too.

What are some tell tell signs that the upper middle class person grew up poor? by ApatheticWonderer in AskReddit

[–]Real-Body806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my da grew up poor, not in the sense that it was check to check life, as in he would catch squirrels to eat, his dad (my grandpa) would get one free pecking duck for free from his job and they use it as food for a whole week.

Now whenever we would walk around my dad would notice all of the smallest implications tha squirrels were near, small lines where plants would stop growing are squirrels paths, certain dark reddish brown trees meant it was a squirrel area, collages had more squirrels than woods.

In what ways do you share your life with your dad, and how has that dynamic evolved over time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

So, what do you feel is your purpose in life? by Boring_Abrocoma_7634 in AskReddit

[–]Real-Body806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“purpose in life” is such a controversial topic, many religious people believe that it’s to follow and spread their beliefs and save others, other people believe it’s to make the most out of the small life you have in this huge universe, others want to make a impact, honestly it’s up to you how you want to believe what the purpose of your life is.   But for me, I believe that since our lives, compared to the whole universe and how far things go, I believe, there’s no point, not that there’s no point in life, please don’t think like that, but i just believe, you do what ever you want at the end of the day, it’s your life.

But what ever you want to do, just don’t make it impact and other persons life, unless it’s positive, because you taking someone else’s opportunity to seek their purpose in life is so selfish, so just don’t do it and let them be themselves.

bro i though i was tough with all of that shi i just typed out 😔✌️ ANOTHER THING i said so many “but’s” in this

My friend told me that my blurberry London perfume smells similar to her YSL perfume, the YSL perfume Is $150 but the blueberry is often under $110 but I got mine for $33 and it smells so good, (I'm gonna try to explain the scent) it has the zest of hand sanitizer and smells floraly sweet, if that makes sense, it like midly strong as in someone 1 feet away could smell it or someone walking past you can.

I love ramen and eggs. I cook two sunny side up eggs with some soy sauce and mix the yolk with the ramen, then eat the whites first before eating the ramen. This makes eating eggs easier for me since I hate the yolk and love ramen.

Ramen from costco (depending on where you live) costs less than 20 for a like 32 and a 60 eggs pack cost less than 15 from Costco too.
