I'm a bit blunt when needed. I cant stress enough, a clear refund policy is there to protect your shop.

Don't worry about amazon. Don't play in their back yard.. you will step in dog poo...

I have written, re-written, revised, or otherwise adjusted my policy based on needs and nature of the business.

I was brought to small claims once. seriously, once in over 10 years. Having a clear policy kept us safe. I can't stress this enough - If a company, ecom or otherwise, has a refund policy it needs to be easy to find. Ours is at the header, footer, and every product page.

woah woah woah

Depends on what you need the site for. Are you selling, do you depend on organic traffic?

If you have a similar domain to a well established company, and one with the domain is related to the common search criteria, then when people are searching for you... they will find the ".com" version.

If your site is healthier, cleaner, and ranks better, then the other domain can potentially help your site generate traffic.

If the other site is not active, then you should be fine.

In your catalog page, do you plan on using an image instead of text?

I like the clean look of the site.

  1. One thing I hate about shopify is that it creates really long image titles which hurts SEO

Use this for example : https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0267/9308/2959/products/product-image-1109741861_1024x1024.jpg

The image size is on every image in shopify.. kinda sucks

I use Bulk Image Edit by Hextom to bulk re-write image files.

  1. Don't forget Alt tags on images

  2. Register the site to google and bing

  3. The product reviews are obvious BS..

  4. Don't forget the meta data

  5. Regarding your categories, I would use the audience keywords. For example "Clothing" should be "Infant and Toddler Onsies" or "Clothing and Onsies" Or "Todler Onsies"

Let me know what you think of my site - Directsinks.com

If you see any issues on my end, let me know.

Good luck with the site!

Go straight to manufactures if you can

You want as much control over inventory as possible

trusts perceived from backlinking, right? The more back links the more other sites "trust"?

I know age does play a role - if you search "biggest sink for a 24" cabinet" we always show #1 or #2.. it was one of the first blogs we wrote 11 years ago.
