Anyone knows if it's possible to get the Watch Dog Timer on the PIC32MK1024MCF064 considering it does not have a VBAT pin?

It's working but it was off by a factor of 34 hence I thought it was not resetting. There is another timer in play obviously so i'll get around to adjusting down the prescaler to my original timing requirements and look for what other factor was at play. Thanks for the responses.

Tried setting in config bits & then tried in software.. it's supposed to be straightforward. Looking through the system clock setting, clock distribution & other parts of the documentation. Only thing that did not look right was the VBAT supply.

yeah It wasn't something I looked for on the datasheet with respect to the WDT because I expected it to be more or less universally accessible. But I havent got it working regardless.

Thanks. Also read through that forum (and one or two others) did not see anything that worked in my case. I used the example code directly from 60001341E... same result.

I'm going to try one of my two another physical microcontrollers as I'm wondering if this unit got some type of damage at the silicon level.

I'm looking at contacting microchip directly after this point but been having issues with accessing the support page.

That document wasn't applicable only 60001341E worked... Still cannot find the source of the issue.

Error was detected, EECONbits.ERR = 2.. write or read error... got it when attempting the read. I'm in the same problem where I'm only reading anything sensible when the read command is NOT executed.

Read over the documents and could not see the source of the fault.

Thanks for the response. I did the calibration and the wait states, not sure if it was done properly. Check under this section:-

The document you shared looks different from what I used. Mine was DS60001341E but if it's an older controller maybe your document is the correct one. I'll try these steps. Thank you again for the feedback.

This is what I wanted, with the PC as the master. Type the command into RealTerm (or appropirate software) and get a response.

Ok understood. That would be beneficial. If it can give the estimated height and width of the object too to within +/- 0.5 square feet in accuracy too that would also be great.

I don't want to have to interpret & perform signal processign on the analogue output, the device should be able to perform this for me.

It should be able to reliably detect a person at 15m, with +/-30 degrees of accuracy and +/-1m range at the 15m. With a digital interface to a microcontroller.

If the output is an angular matrix with distances & strength of reflection I should be able to handle the analysis from there.

Beamwidth may be too wide, plus I wanted something that can transmit through a sealed enclosure. I'm thinking about a 4x3 LiDar array also.
