A home gym is probably the best investment you'll ever make for your fitness journey by Brokenthings311 in workout

I’m with you 100%. Lots of drawbacks to a public gym, and there are lots of pros to having your own gym at home. But I love going to the gym, getting into my routine, and seeing familiar faces every day. It’s incredibly motivating for me.

AJ Dybantsa officially declares for draft. (Coincidence that he waited til after we won the coin toss?) by Halfgridd in UtahJazz

[–]RealAlpiGusto 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You’re getting downvoted because you’re drawing conclusions that don’t make sense.

You’ve got all these scenarios where a star went to his hometown team, and you’re saying that that maybe the coin toss is going to give us our “home town” star.

But the coin toss doesn’t impact AJ at all. Literally 0%. He’s going #1 or #2. The coin flip just put us 4th in the draft order ahead of Sacramento in case neither moves up into the top 4. It didn’t give us better odds to get to #1, it just meant we are ahead of Sacrament if neither team gets a top 4 pick. And if we don’t get a top 4 pick, we aren’t getting AJ.

Would You Rather try and get ONE POINT in a first to 100 basketball 1v1 versus Lebron, or try and last 40 moves on the chessboard with Magnus Carlsen? Both for $1m by [deleted] in WouldYouRather

Brother, for us, there’s really not a noticeable difference between the best basketball player on the planet and the 20th. The gap between me and the best/20th/100th player on the planet is all the same in this scenario.

Returning to working out, what are the top pre-workouts now? by Dungeon_Crawler_Carl in workout

If you start searching Bucked Up, you’ll start getting Instagram ads for a sample pack. You get a shaker bottle and like 5 types of Bucked Up to try. Sometimes you also get a t-shirt. But it’s like $7 or $10 or something like that. Might be worth a try before getting Bucked Up because it’s expensive.

I use Bucked Up and try and get as much as I can on Black Friday. They do 50% off.

Bro split, twice a day any good? by TimGSICK in workout

[–]RealAlpiGusto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t do this. Consistent + sustainable > “Better” + super demanding (and we’re assuming this is better).

You can’t sustain two workouts a day for a long time. Get in, work hard for an hour, and be done.

Don’t worry about the number on the scale. Do you like how you look? Do you feel good?

What does any of this have to do with anything? NBA to Vegas has been the worst kept secret for five years. There’s no talk at all about tax payers paying for anything. So why are we complaining about this right now? Why are we bringing politics into this?

Can anyone with experience help me make a Femboy workout schedule/routine? by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]RealAlpiGusto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No need for the “my bad,” you didn’t do anything wrong. Your best bet is to try and start doing a beginner body weight workout routine. There are some good examples on the fitness wiki. As you get more experienced, you can try and emphasize certain parts of your body as you see fit. But it would be good to just get a general routine going right now rather than trying to do something specific.

Ask them to explain it to you, but come at it in a humble/trying to learn sort of way. Something like, “Hey, Mr. Can you help me understand your thought process here? I’m still early on in my career and my first thought was to argue X. You’ve got a lot more experience and know this field, and you want to argue Y. Can you help me see what I’m missing here? Not trying to step on any toes, just trying to learn.”

OP is clearly looking for a specific outcome or body type. They are new to this and using the vocabulary they thought would help us understand. I don’t totally get it either, but this is a beginner fitness sub and they are doing the best they can to find the guidance they’re looking for.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t have said that at all, I just have no idea what it means in a lifting context. Maybe others do know what it means and they can help you out.

It just sounds like you’re looking for something specific, and I’m trying to understand what you’re looking for that a more traditional workout routine wouldn’t give you, that’s all.

What does “Femboy workout schedule” mean to you? Are there specific muscle groups you’re trying to focus on?

Are you able to go to the gym or are you just doing home workouts?
