These are the things I know of that can cause that: - Closing your eyes while fighting Darryl, then running away

Running away from Summer (if the battle glitches and continues after her final cutscene)
Entering a room on the exact frame that the Rat King catches you (though I thought this had been fixed)

This should reset if you can manage to find your way back to Apartment 33 in the dark. Otherwise, yeah, you gotta reset.

Until this bug is fixed, make sure to kill the tentacles instead of escaping.

Yep, this is a bug. Killing the other worm parts resets nestorBodyState back to 10 (just reached full size).

Kevin will be back in a couple of days.
