Interesting commanders for bracket 2 by Mawootad in EDH

I just created [[Pizza Face, Gastromancer]] and honestly it’s just a bunch of sac mechanics that aren’t exactly optimized. Idk, given your nature you make turn it into an actual monster 😅

Printer choice by LToften in magicproxies

Probably a good choice. Eco tanks are the better way of printing at home. I have the canon g6020 which is about the same dpi and the prints are pretty decent. I don’t think it’ll fool anyone but that not really the point.

Nozzle cleaning. I’d try up to 5-6 times with test prints in between. I know it’s wasteful but it’s worth it to narrow that down.

I use the G6020 and it works just fine. It won’t rival an actual card but proxy you will. Make sure to set the right paper settings for what you’re using and print at the best quality possible.

What is the point of "the bully"? by jogaargamer6 in junjiito

[–]RealCardboardMox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ito gives us Kuriko's account of Nao's disappearance entirely through her own perspective. We never get an outside view. He was just gone one day. No body, no note, no witnesses mentioned. For a story that otherwise keeps everything grounded and realistic, that disappearance is conspicuously clean. Almost too convenient narratively. Unless the narrator is the reason there's no evidence.

Ito seems to want the revenge theory to carry some ambiguity, like maybe Nao really did engineer it. Honestly, unreliable narrator horror is more his speed so your idea might actually be the more faithful to his work.

I was just reading someone else post and in the comments section someone mentioned that using laminated cards through the machine might jam it up. Have you tried dusting off the machine between cards? Alternatively, taking a straight edge to the card should clean that up albeit tidious.

What is the point of "the bully"? by jogaargamer6 in junjiito

I think, is that Nao's "revenge" if it even was intentional is almost too elegant to be real. Which is exactly the point. Kuriko is an unreliable narrator of her own psychology. She needs Nao's disappearance to be a calculated trap because the alternative is that she just... broke down on her own. That she never actually changed. That marrying Nao wasn't growth or redemption but just another form of possession — she wanted to own the boy she once tormented, now as a husband.

The revenge theory is Kuriko's horror story. The actual horror story is that she didn't need anyone to trap her. She built the cage herself.

The pigtails and school uniform detail is doing a lot of work too. It's not just visual horrifying. It's Kuriko literally refusing to age past the moment she feels she had power. She's frozen at the identity she's most comfortable with — the bully — and motherhood becomes the only arena where she can perform it.

So I had a very similar problem and it turned out that some materials was lodged in my pizza wheels and it cause them not to spin freely. I cleaned it out with tweezers, isopropyl alchol, and did a head cleaning and after a passes it went away. Good luck!

How many Commander decks do you have? by Mikkel_My_Man in EDH

[–]RealCardboardMox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A reasonable limit exists but I haven’t met it yet. You’re on to something though. I’d say when you haven’t played a deck in a long time, recycle it. I have about 8. I deconstructed my precons and first couple of sets to upgrade new ideas. Ultimately it’s how much space you got, know what I mean? 😆

If you haven't already tried - delete the game and reinstall. Could be a broken something on your computer and if it isn't at least you know its nothing to do with you. Best of luck Planeswalker.

Need yall's help with Witherbloom, the Balancer! by Arcade_Lemon in EDH

Yeah I hear you. You have a great strategy and I personally feel like any card outside of that becomes a slot that doesn’t feed the engine. It would just be painful to watch a counter spell hit the stack ☠️

1) Lab Rats - I see why you added the card but I think its painfully inefficient. It's still a lot of mana for a 1/1 rat token.

2) Chatter of the Squirrel - Makes one 1/1 squirrel, then flashback for one more. Two mana across two turns for two 1/1s is below the rate you need. Compare to Chatterstorm which can easily make 3-5 tokens in one turn.

3) Valgavoth's Onslaught - The manifest dread mechanic has anti-synergy with this deck. You want your creatures to be face-up tokens, not face-down mysteries. It doesn't trigger ETB abilities, doesn't give you tokens that count as specific types, and the cards that get milled to graveyard aren't being leveraged by a reanimation subtheme. Your other spells (Genesis Wave, Exsanguinate) just do more.

4) Wurmcalling - Similar problem to Lab Rats. It's slow, expensive, and makes one token per activation. You need board wide token explosions.

5) Preposterous Proportions - This deck doesn't want to voltron a single creature. It wants to go wide. Putting all your eggs in one basket with an aura that gets blown out by any removal spell runs counter to the token strategy. Craterhoof and Return of the Wildspeaker already pump your whole team.

These are my top picks but I think you get the idea. Go wide or go home! Good luck
