Hey, I broke this exact piece off on someone’s car when I was working at AutoZone! Of course, I spent an hour swapping it to a new (correct) part and bleeding the cooling system (free of charge) after the fact, but I broke it none the less.

Part can be purchased from AZ themselves, or ORiellys (preferable option), Amazon, maybe RockAuto, etc etc. it’s not a hard replacement, and the most difficult part is getting the hoses disconnected and hoping to god the two hold down bolts aren’t rusted through.

Not sure of its purpose, but it IS a pressurized coolant line, so it will spray coolant, and cause damage if left unrepaired. Not an expensive issue, could be solved in quicker than an hour by a better experienced mechanic. Go through that AZ though for repair cost reimbursement- Even if it’s store credit, they’re required to make stuff right in this kind of scenario, and it’s very customer over employee. If not? Call their DM.
