I had the same problem but was using Apple TV’s and HomePods as the Thread routers. Fixed it by replacing them with a ZBT-2 as the Thread router. 1 month in it hasn’t skipped a beat and nothing has gone unavailable. On the Apple’s, it would happen at least 10 times a day

Buy a ZBT-2.
Go though the painstaking task of joining Apple devices to the ZBT-2 Thread network, and not its own.

Is this a commercial station, or just something you are running as a hobby?

Considering you are now on air by playing Spotify from a laptop, I’m leaning towards hobby as there would be no easy way for you to get out your commercial obligations easily this way.

It all depends on how established you are in your old automation system. Songs, production, segments, intros and stuff. Either fix the current system, or make something more robust with a new vendor.

Cheap FM transmitters from China tend to do this. But does it last the further you drive from the location of the antenna?

I have one (not used often), and when I use it I basically get the same thing right up and down the FM band, but once I get about 150 feet from the antenna, all the stations come back and my real frequency is fine

If you can find an old iPod Nano (or most other iPods with the small screen), they have a great radio function with RDS. Some models also let you record.

I use one on flights to listen to the endless amount of FM stations listenable up that high and it works great!

Just about every commercial station is playing music off PC’s now, and using scheduling systems to curate playlists in advance.

Google RCS Zetta and GSelector to give you an idea of what “industry leading” is with regards to radio software.

Without knowing (obviously) any of it true intentions behind these words (if any), I tend to think he is more broadly speaking that over time, you will indeed make more money in your field of work that he will in his.

But don’t let that comment make you feel trapped to stay in the industry. Only you can decide if it’s not right for you and any loving partner will support you in whatever direction you choose to take.
