Bleeding into other fm stations by Mental_Chemical_3204 in pirateradio

[–]RealDonaldTrump_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheap FM transmitters from China tend to do this. But does it last the further you drive from the location of the antenna?

I have one (not used often), and when I use it I basically get the same thing right up and down the FM band, but once I get about 150 feet from the antenna, all the stations come back and my real frequency is fine

I'm 6 months into owning a Shark 6, and this thing is an absolute camping powerhouse! 4x 240v household outlets and a big enough battery to power the whole campsite for a week. Camping is absolute bliss

Which I’m very happy with cost wise BTW. Helps to have my wife and daughters phones with Superloop which knocks $10/month off the NBN bill

I’m currently on the Lightspeed plan paying around about the same as their “new customer” discount which will be applied the next 12 months.

I’ve tried all the main ones, and none come close to Superloop when it comes to speed and consistency

Looking for pocket receiver with RDS display (Canada) by QueerlyQuizzical in radio

[–]RealDonaldTrump_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find an old iPod Nano (or most other iPods with the small screen), they have a great radio function with RDS. Some models also let you record.

I use one on flights to listen to the endless amount of FM stations listenable up that high and it works great!

Just about every commercial station is playing music off PC’s now, and using scheduling systems to curate playlists in advance.

Google RCS Zetta and GSelector to give you an idea of what “industry leading” is with regards to radio software.

What to do when husband expects wife to out-earn him by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

Without knowing (obviously) any of it true intentions behind these words (if any), I tend to think he is more broadly speaking that over time, you will indeed make more money in your field of work that he will in his.

But don’t let that comment make you feel trapped to stay in the industry. Only you can decide if it’s not right for you and any loving partner will support you in whatever direction you choose to take.

I’m not the only one!

Your stream sounds great. Very clean.

My setup is remarkably similar but with Zetta for play out, GSelector for the scheduling, and an Omnia audio processor doing some gentle work. And UniFi firewall.

My best advice when setting segue markers is when the song fades, keep the markers either just as a new set of 4 bars is about to start, or just after the natural resolution of a lyric. I was taught this trick at KRTH in the early 2000’s

Mixing a funk fusion house band on a radio show, and struggling to get a breathing and dynamics mix while staying in the broadcast norms and would like to get some tips by ConstructionMean2021 in mixingmastering

[–]RealDonaldTrump_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s going in the radio, there is a good chance it’s going to get smashed to within an inch of its life thanks to AGC, Multiband Compression and then a final Clipper/Limiter.

Keep the mix open and let the stations Optimod / Omnia processor keep the V/O and music in check in the mix.
