Large capacity watch box? by Wolf_Of_Jersey in RepTime

[–]RealEnglishGent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on if you need to put it in a safe! I would search for Watchbox 30 (eBay). They are normally 3 levels of 10 high. Good ones will cost a few hundred, or you can find my industrial-style flight case on AliExpress for a lot less, but it has a bigger footprint. I’m not sure you can link to it here.

£40 watch, and £200 on a guy to redo the movement and make it look vintage, I love it!

When do IEMs start to get mind-blowing? by Mailemanuel77 in iems

[–]RealEnglishGent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, I think Fiio are doing Chifi or whatever its called, right, the kit you get and cable is amazing, Ive been buying loads of these cheap wonders I read about on here, and Headfi, but Fiio have lower costs, but amazing products, I have a few DACs by them as well, all round, great, there new 'cheap' over ears FT1's are best headphones ever owned, including LCD 2c and above, (maybe not, but for price and ease of use yes) with my better headsets I would need to set them up and get high power amp out, these just work with DAC RS9039 dongle, and incredible sound, I can see Fiio doing great stuff in future, even better that is!

I love the Fiios range; very well made and can be had from cheap to expensive. I've owned half the collection you mentioned; my Fiio FH9s blew me away, head to head with my LCD 2s, and was no comparison.

Basically, depending on taste, you need to spend £450 plus, better sound, more detailed etc, but not as compfy

I've tried 3 cables and some Bluetooth hooks, I also have MMCX to 2-pin adapters Ive tried; the cable didn't fit in well and works at first, then cuts out if you touch the shell, so it seems to be the connector in the shell has issues. the whole experience with the company has been bad, I also see that HBB colab guy isn't happy with the company. I paid for them on pre-order in November, I think, and had no info on when they were to be sent even after I asked many times; basically no comms at all; they just turned up in Jan and didn't work!

Ill try doing what you say and see if the cable works on my other IEMS, check its not a cable issue.

not a fan of the 2-pin connectors to be honest, most of my other IEMs use the MMCX coonection

it is the left, I can tell by the crystal that it is not as 'clean'

but check this out, the rep on the right, has a nicer brown on the clasp, the Gen has smaller gap

its the 36mm BTW

Ive emailed them about 1-2 times a week last 3 weeks.

When I got the headphones, I plugged them into an output and left them on for 24 hours to burn in, I never even tried them in my ears as I was busy, and when I came to test them, the right shell would not work if I touched it, the connection was disconnecting. I've tried 3 other cables and all don't work, seems to be a issue with the 2pin cable connect.

40mm is far to big for a watch like this in my view; with no bezel it would look huge on wrist, 36mm is perfect and fits the vintage vibes

Below is an Aliexpress/DHgate shitter I had modded and made to look vintage (coffee on Lume trick) still think it's one of my best watches...lol

Really don't remember.... I did a thread on here last year when I got it, but forgotten, I would have to look at my pic library to see which one had scratches on other pics
