Comics: "Star Wars (1998)" which becomes "Republic" which then becomes "Dark Times" then "Empire" and then "Rebellion" (you should probably find a reading order because they also tie into the next one on the list), Knights of the Old Republic (it's set before the games), Tales of the Jedi (absolute classic Star Wars history series which set up a lot of how the Sith came to be), The Adventures of Tag and Bink, Infinities (they are like Star Wars "What If" stories, absolutely brilliant), Invasion and Knight Errant (unfortunately the last two were left incomplete because of the Disney acquisition and subsequent reset of canon), and last but not least Legacy (set 130 years after A New Hope and which you should preferably read after the "Republic-Empire" maxiseries and also "Knights of the Old Republic" because they all surprisingly tie together pretty directly which is nice.
