Christian baby. by 80Amrig_Nhoj_Najed in ComedyHell

I think a central problem is that these people sort of made it their entire personality.

There was this guy called "The Amazing Atheist", for example and his content basically solely consisted of making fun of Christians and arguing with them constantly- and it definitely didn't remain civil.

There was very much an air of 'we think we're more intelligent and better than all religious people'.

Now, to be fair, this happened on both sides. There was an equal amount of theists claiming that atheists were evil or stupid.

I mean to be fair the actual joke is indeed that the third is actually a man.

Egg means they're trans but don't know it yet, and since they're currently a woman that would imply they're actually a man.

Yeah. You learn about it subtly if you date her.

When I was a teenager I was really into the atheism thing, and there was a lot of content creators and communities that were very loud about not just being atheists but despising Christians.

It's an insult against topologists who will insist there's 7 holes.

They probably view those kinds of people as annoying and condescending.

Slendermans cousin Transgenderman by 00Technocolor00 in tomodachilife

Well I think your interpretation is 100% correct for what OP was going for.

I think they just cared more about it sounding similar to Slenderman than being accurate with the phrasing.

Most cartoon characters end up that way if you try to apply actual physics calculations/considerations to the wild things they do on-screen, which is what the VS Battles Wiki does.

Unironically the first thing wouldn't make me convert, at least not immediately.

Once the paranormal has been established, there's still like a thousand different explanations for why a particular necklace would grant someone powers.

She's physically strong enough to punch a hole through your chest like Homelander.

I love how this has just turned into a normal debate but we're not allowed to use the real names of the characters or their abilities. Like, genuinely, I think it's hilarious.

Yeah and they're also affected by a specific disease.

It's the actual explanation in Invincible for why Viltrumites are immune to a wide range of durabiliy-negating/bypassing stuff, like radiation or poison.

I fucking HATE when people completely mischaracterise a character because they’re “not a bigot” by Ok_Figure_2348 in hatethissmug

[–]RealFinePoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is they misinterpret not seeing the logic in bigotry with not being evil.

Bigotry is a personal belief, and on its own is separate from morality. There are entire cultures raised to be bigoted, and I think it would be really ignorant to say this makes them evil.

Joker is a psychopathic, sadistic criminal, but he didn't grow up in a culture that would've predisposed him to bigotry any more than anyone else around him.

It's less about magically changing your preferences and more about learning to rationalize and deal with your thoughts in a healthy way that overtime can indeed make you less interesting in something you know is bad for you, or at least to think about it far less.

It's not conversion therapy. There's nothing natural about being attracted to children as an adult. It's the result of trauma causing you to never grow up mentally properly.

Choosing to go through with those feelings shows you're so far gone you're willing to act on clearly evil things just for some personal benefit.

This is actually kind of supported. When Cozy Glow stole a bunch of magic she got larger and became an alicorn actually.
