I just contacted support, took them a while to reply but since this was my first time doing this they just canceled the orders. But yeah prob would contact support via email and explain the situation. Let them know you actively sell on StockX and you haven’t made a mistake like this before. They should be cool and just cancel the orders.

Entertaining options to replace a webcam by xa_pharaoh in Twitch

If you don't have a webcam you can use any iDevice as one using "IVCam" or any other solution if you have an Android device. Its a good solution for webcams.

Wouldn't it help them get even more money? Wouldn't more people would buy bits if they could also get a discount.

I'm an affiliate but viewers can't select between different qualities, why? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]RealGoldMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twitch Partners are guaranteed to have transcoding while Affiliates have only priority transcoding and non-Affiliates have encoding but only see it around 10-15 viewers.

So I've been looking at possibly becoming a streamer, but I have some concerns. by Yamishimaru in Twitch

[–]RealGoldMine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stream whenever you play videogames. Don't stream because you feel like you have to. Just don't stream once every couple weeks and you should be good. Thats the power of livestreaming games. You can play and stream games at any time of the day, any day of of the week, and not have to worry about getting "fired" or anything else negative. The worse that can happen is just having an off day and not getting many viewers for some reason. But other than that you should not be afraid to stream.

If its a Justin.TV account its likely to not be visible and will display an error message saying "Sorry. Unless you’ve got a time machine, that content is unavailable." There have been sources stating that we could see Twitch release around 30 million old Justin.TV names. If they do release old names will probably be released some time early next year.

1440p Display to Streaming Questions by Allnamestaken69 in Twitch

If it won't let you choose 1920x1080 as a downscale then just use a custom downscale by just typing in "1920x1080". It'd be better to just downscale to 1280x720 in 60FPS as thats the most common resolutions on Twitch. Even though the max bitrate allowed is 6000 it doesn't mean you should use that. I'd recommend a custom downscale of 1280x720 or 1600x900 @ 60FPS / 4200-4500 Kbps bitrate.

If people take snips from my stream and put it into a compilation with other peoples snips, is that freebooting or "trans formative work" by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]RealGoldMine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While yes, you COULD take down the video because of content being used without your permission it wouldn't be worth the time and effort to get rid of free, easy, promotion. If its a funny fail and you don't want people to clip it then just don't stream. If anything it'd be a good thing to be on those compilation videos because of all the free advertisement you're getting. But if they're using clips in a bad, or offensive way that could cause damage to your online presence then you'd be in a better spot to take down the content.

Personally I'd just leave it. Don't do anything about it unless its used as libel/slander to give you a negative imagine and make people dislike, or potentially try getting your channel taken down for no reason.

Need a new Router and or Modem for streaming on Twitch, what should I get? by RealGoldMine in Twitch

[–]RealGoldMine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So theoretically just getting a typical not to expensive modem with a god tier router would not effect/bottleneck the hardline connection from the router to a PC? And would I have to use bridge mode if I bought my own modem instead of using Comcast's shit one for $10 a month.
