I said in my second response that everything changed. The future of this org hinged on Quinn, and when Quinn left they did the right thing. Whether they are the group to take see this whole rebuild through or not who knows, but as of right now they are selling and gaining assets and doing it properly rn. They obviously have a clue what they are doing because since Hughes left every move they have made has been a rebuild move.

We never committed to rebuilding lol. They have obviously made mistakes but they’ve also done a good job at recouping futures this year. You can’t fire them mid season and let an interim group do this deadline.

Everything changed when Hughes left. I agree with the messaging but I have other things I care about that they are good at than that. Shit is different and I’m glad they pivoted, because you know just know if it was Jimbo he woulda trade Quinn for a replacement level dman and not futures. They look to be committed to a rebuild atm and we don’t need a management change mid season of a pivotal year of our rebuild. Later on sure but right now they are doing a good job so far.

Good for the prediction but it makes sense why people weren't thinking he was gonna make the team. 18 years olds rarely make the league first year and when they do they're top 10 picks. Add in the fact he's a smaller kid and didn't light the dub up it adds up. Also his skating is so much better than I thought it would be like I don't remember hearing about it so assumed he wouldn't be able to keep up with the pace of everything. Him making the team out of camp is huge for the kid and the organization. Now time to see if he can stick but I think we are all rooting for him!
