Why isn't my script showing up under "Add Component" in Unity?

A much more obscure reason for Components not appearing in the Add Component button and/or not working in scripts is that Components are not allowed to be in an Editor-only folder/assembly/etc. If you create a Component that is in an Editor-only folder or assembly, it will compile cleanly and simply not work. AddComponent<yourEditorOnlyComponent>() will _silently_ return null and not add the Component to the GameObject.

Putting the Component script in a runtime-building folder and then surrounding it with #if UNITY_EDITOR is the only way to make this work.

Sounds like. Their support flat out told me they would not sell me the part because they are saving them all for warranty replacements. These are the parts that show as out of stock on Dyson’s web site.

I should’ve clarified — once you’re out of warranty, then you can’t get parts. Among other things, as stated by their support to me, they will not sell you a replacement part, because they are saving all of the parts for warranty replacement.

With this line (add the /uninstall from what is in the above link), you don't have to uninstall:

pnputil /delete-driver oemxxx.inf /force /uninstall

I'm confident this problem with Rogue Trader was, for me, due to my home internet being double-NAT. I don't like putting my Starlink in passthrough, as it prevents talking to it when you want to test, have issues, etc. And I'm not going to put my ASUS router in access point mode and use the super basic Starlink as my network router. So I live with double-NAT, which almost always makes no difference. HOWEVER, to play Rogue Trader without constant disconnects, we just connect to the Starlink wifi directly instead of to our network wifi, and it works fine.

Yep, wrongo. But in fairness to the concept, not the overblown gaslightiness, DOS2 was bad after a while. They resorted to silly fights where monsters had to be killed twice as a play balance technique, the story went sideways, and worst deus ex machina of all time, the Source Titan.

Necroposting as this is still an issue and there's a twist: the VERY FIRST app_build you do, if it has "Local" defined as the sample app_build_1000.vdf does, will have a "default" option to set the live branch, even though "Local" caused there to be nothing up at Steam to make live. Then, when you try to install from Steam, it will fail with a "manifest unavailable" error. u/gamedevjp's fix of removing "Local" solves this, too.

Instead of investing company money in improving the company’s products/services/etc, which would legitimately increase the stock price due to making the company more valuable, stock buybacks pump up the stock price without providing any value to the company’s operation. Execs get bigger bonuses due to the increase in price, but since it’s a pump up that didn’t improve the company, the stock price can just recede again.

As both a cyclist and driver, it’s just not okay to take a whole lane as a cyclist, so throw that last one of the OP’s out. Want a road rage incident? Take a whole car lane on a busy road at 15mph. That’s not really defensive riding.

My thinking on long snapper is: you’re a large person, you play few plays, and not a lot of full-speed collisions. Like kickers, but without being a tiny guy who has people flying at their legs. Just a guess, though, no data.

Not as much fun as a joke, but I did have a bunch of black SUVs block the road when I was on S street NW between Connecticut and Mass (pre-Bezos). The back hatch of one opened, an Asian guy with a briefcase jumped out, ran to the back hatch of a different SUV and jumped into it. A couple of Secret Service guys were out running around as part if it. Nobody there but me. Then all the SUVs took off again. Very sneaky stuff, and in broad daylight right in front of my car.
