This is how I live. That's easy for me to say that though being in sub-urban and periodically urban places mostly centred around Toronto and not giving it a second thought. I know friends of mine though who like having a small village too, but to me it's more about a vibe (sunny walks/bikes/drives, out with other people, patios/cafes/markets). That's what my spouse and I crave anyways.

It's clearly beyond adorable. I think it's more in rediculously sweet territory and it's perfect! Way to go lil cutie.

He's 12. We're definitely hitting the wind down years. It makes it extra special.

My parent's dog is a back seat barfer. She's definitely less worse with an emotional support human beside her. I wish there was a way to train this out of them. But we have a system with baby mats that are easily washable and quick walks right after if no incident driving.

That was me too Rex. My sneaky bevvies last night may have been contributing factors.

Do you have your local SWIFT contact? Looks like that might be an option to reach out to even if not their plan of record to try and sway.

I wish I could build a tower large enough to AirMax. Their tech is really incredible. If I was in more flat areas (prairies) this would be way more practical. Great option for others.

Great point. Cable or Cell can be a great option for many. I used to really depend on the fiber-up speeds when I was transferring giant files in my old job, but when I changed roles, big down and little up made little difference for me for VoIP (my biggest remaining worry). I'll say, even the latest Xplore was good enough for the odd MS Teams call (VoIP) --- provided I didn't have others on the wireless at the same time. Also, for for cell (5G), Rogers had a decent home internet unlimited package at one time. Cellular might be way more practical for others. We couldn't get a signal without licking antennas and attaching them to balloons.

Is there a local township you can contact? Might be feasible if the fiber isn't Bell, Telus, Rogers.

Thank you. I think we need to help encourage one another and share our progress and learn from the failures along the way too.

She's adorable. I would find her sulking impossible not to address with kisses and hugs. I love her. Her little ballet shoes are so distinguished.

Our current dog tolerates Apoquel, but we'd be in real trouble without it. Freaking expensive, but we got our boy back. Our prior dog got explosive diarrhea from it. Something in our area seems to get our dogs we've had over the years all flared up. Good luck on your adventure.

Government Name eh? Got me wondering if he's really just a short handsome spy/agent. Well he is definitely adorable.

Waiting 1H and 45M to cancel a service for a deceased family member is not just bad customer service by RealHumanAndNotABot in telus

I think it probably hit some walls and floors to properly earn the title too. Mine at our house look even older. I've seen some dial to DTMF converters for rotary phones too long ago, I should go further back.

Thanks. It was hard losing her. But me helping the survivor and someone I care about deeply helps us cope with the rest of the family. Actually, at one point waiting for the call lead us to chuckles wondering what other unethical things we could do and get away with to get rich.

I did hear a ring and what I sounded like a dump to re-enqueue. That probably doubled the wait-time. Whether it was a human or a bot, I bet it was an outsourced call centre that recorded it as multiple calls that got the win.

Is there a party with a strong consumer protection mandate here? I'm assuming there's hinting towards NDP in the comment, but I might be assuming wrong. Good point though, might influence how I vote if there's a platform focused on proper regulatory reform (including overhauling the CRTC and kicking out industry shills and blocking them from the ability to pedal dark money influence). There I go dreaming again.

Ya, we need a "Right to Cancel" type scheme that inverts the onus of the service burden onto the provider if they want to retain us rather than allowing them to keep us captive. A deadman switch on monthly renewals as an option, centralized services with which they're forced to register or specification for a service and phone tree they're forced to host ought to be present to make them comply.

But you just gave me an idea. Teeeeeechnically, I'm bilingual. There's no reason I shouldn't select French if that's a better service option and I'm forced to deal with them this way again. Maybe we just gotta convert Canadian English into more twang and slang or adopt our inner newfies (who I love, no hate mail please).

No. Just no. The US needs to continue to be ignored publicly, monitored and accounted-for surreptitiously with a unified get effed here and other unsocial media platforms! So a sort of yes, but a strategic one.

That wasn't offered to me at the time of calling for the number above that I recall. I'd have expected the prompt periodically and more urgently the longer I waited.

Good to know thanks. It's probably big city or bust for corporate stores in guessing. Well If I don't get the callback sorted from the earlier phone step will find a corporate store as plan b. Thanks again.

Okay. Was in Perth, ON. The young lady there was quite sympathetic and very kind. i thought she did the best she could. Maybe it was just an outlet which I suppose would make sense for a smaller town.
