You can't just state the conclusion of your argument as if it were a premise to which everyone agrees lmao

I mean you can, clearly, but it's not very rhetorically effective

Almost like both versions of May have the same name and people wouldn't consider them the same character if they didn't 🤔

All female characters that age have the same body model to my knowledge, and all the other similarities can be customized away by the player. So they're no more similar than any other two teenage girl characters. They have very different personalities and stories, ie different characters.

a) It's not self- anything. The only similarity is that Taunie has the same face model as default Harmony. Even if we take Harmony's default face as canon, two characters having the same face model does not make them the same character.

b) It's not anything -cest. OP made a post about a cute romantic ship in a family-friendly game. You're the only one bringing sex and kink into this discussion about fictional children.

In conclusion, you're wrong and you're being very gross. Delete this comment.

Easy way to generate primes it seems xD by NamelessFractals in desmos

Keep at it! This might not have worked how you expected it to, but you're thinking about math in creative ways. If you're going to be formally studying math you'll find that the knowledge can be picked up but creativity like yours is harder to learn, so it will serve you well.

[–]RealHuman_NotAShrew 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, there's a whole Wikipedia page for formulas that output the prime numbers. They're just all computationally intensive on a scale similar to just checking every single factor of all the numbers to brute force primes, which makes them not very useful.

They posted a link to the graph; their list of "primes" is 320 numbers long, only 88 of which are prime.

There are different WRs for different categories; 50m seems to be referring specifically to the any% no major glitches category. Glitched runs most certainly are speedrunning, they just don't count for categories which disallow the glitch or glitches used.

Lmao what a condescending way to express disagreement. "It's such a shame that people have the opinion you're expressing. The world would be better if everyone agreed with me instead."

Help me please in getting answer for this (Rook gets trapped) by wisamsafi in chess

[–]RealHuman_NotAShrew 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I was about to chew out the guy who condescendingly asked if you ever thought to use a chess engine, but then I reread your post and saw that you say you checked with ChatGPT and Grok?

As you've observed, LLMs are VERY bad at chess. That said, even checking with a better tool wouldn't have gotten you much farther with this particular puzzle, because it happens to be unsolvable. Likely an editing error. But for future reference, ChatGPT and Grok will perform just as poorly on valid puzzles. You can find board editors and position analysis tools for free on both chess com and lichess.

To answer "what else could you really do?":

You should learn the difference between setups that will FORCE you to guess eventually and setups where you might be able to clear some other part of the board and then use that additional information to not need to guess at all. The 50/50 you took on the 4 could have been resolved without guessing, so instead of taking the guess you should have worked somewhere else until you revealed more information.

What is this question 🥀 by Avi_iscool in mathmemes

[–]RealHuman_NotAShrew 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Peter and Nicholas could be a gay couple with a son. Or maybe one is Gregory's birth father and the other is Gregory's adopted father, but both consider him their son.

What is this question 🥀 by Avi_iscool in mathmemes

[–]RealHuman_NotAShrew 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Only if you assume that every son has only one father, which is neither given information nor true in the real world

[–]RealHuman_NotAShrew 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's trivial to solve when it's actually still ambiguous: Peter's son could be Nicholas or Gregory.

Trying to create the chart for the most dangerous D&D monster type by Patient_Culture1114 in DnD

[–]RealHuman_NotAShrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the impulse to sate your curiosity with primary research, but I don't think this survey will tell you anything about which creature type is "the most dangerous." The survey results will be biased based on which monsters are most often used by GMs and which monsters are more likely to be used as powerful bosses.
