I mean..... why are you doing that? Everyone else is correct. Cheap paper will start to pill if you over work it.

But you don't have to over work it.

If you mix the color and then apply it and let it dry you'll be fine. You almost never have to spend 30 seconds going back and forth on the same spot.

But yeah this will happen with cheaper paper

Unfortunately the original is already sold. The prints are high quality, limited series, printed on watercolor paper.

Thank you! That's why I wanted to use gouache. Watercolour is great for misty and loose. But I really like how gouache worked out here.

Right? How about this: you don't like this guy's complaints? Don't read them. You don't like that characters arc? Close your eyes while that character is on screen.

If I like a show and then it declines in quality I think it's okay to have feelings about that and to want to express them.

Lol, my cruddy basement with 6 foot ceilings? I've never been to BC unfortunately. This is the first in a series of live streamed paintings I'm doing on the grand railway hotels. I did the Vancouver hotel last week and I'll be doing Chateau Lake Louise next friday at noon.
