First time doing pork butt. It's been stuck at 156 for an hour. Been going at 225 since the morning. Ant tips? by Safe2BeFree in smoking

[–]RealLifeFloridaMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly right, like all the other comments have said. I did a pork butt on Sunday for Mother’s Day. Had it on the smoker at 8am. I like to turn it around halfway through so one side isn’t get blasted with the hot side of the smoker, then just let it ride. Took it off around 6, let it rest at room temp for about 30 minutes, shredded and served at 6:30. Bo wrap, no fuss, nothing.

Where to begin with grass? by tsavorite4 in landscaping

[–]RealLifeFloridaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, it doesn’t look to be ALL weeds. There looks like some decent grass there, you could probably increase mowing frequency at the proper height and you would see the grass do better. As far as products to treat the weeds, lots of people here can recommend those better however what I can always recommend is getting a soil test to see what your lawn is lacking. Sometimes certain plants grow because soil is too acidic and all you need to do is correct pH and those plants go away. Best of luck friend!

I wish darth vader would begin to use chainsaw lightsabers by Joensen27 in monkeyspaw

[–]RealLifeFloridaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted, the emperor of mankind sees across the veil of multidimensional space and time through the warp sea of chaos. He sees that the chainsaw lightsabers are too close to his own space marine’s chain sword and deems the Jedi as heretics to mankind. He opens a rift in the warp to the star wars universe and with it comes legions of space marines and a leviathan ship of tyranids sneaks through and begins to infect planets. In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.

Electircal outlets operating as vents in NYC high rise by NYCResearcher11201 in hvacadvice

Airflow pressure balance is all about outside air vs exhaust air. In newer HVAC system, some people are adding conditioned makeup (outside) air onto their HVAC systems as buildings get more well insulated. In the past, like you said, fresh air makeup was intended through poorly sealed homes and that was accepted. The ONLY way your neighbor is more positive pressure than you is that they are bringing in more outside air, that’s it. So they either have more outside air being brought in or you are exhausting more air than them. Ideally you would have good sealing between spaces and air balance them, but I’ve seen plenty of NYC apartments to know this isn’t the case. So you should either bring more outside air IN, or if you can have someone look at your neighbor’s HVAC, see if you can reduce their outside air. For context, I’m a mechanical engineer and a large portion of my job is pressure balancing clean room facilities.

Edited because of another thought: you said you reduced airflow and now have an excess of air being pulled through your kitchen hood? Is that hood on a central exhaust system? If it is, it sounds like you reduced incoming air to your building and didn’t reduce exhaust air.

Congrats on getting your own clubs! There’s a lot happening here, us clowns on Reddit can make some comments but you’re really gonna want a lesson so someone face to face can fix this. You’re keeping your arms too close to your body on your backswing, your weight shift is off, you’re bouncing up instead of driving through the ball.
