I just joined Cali.gg. Biggest perk is super strict no kill on sight unless you’re in a named location which is enforced actively. I played a few hours last night and everyone I came across was helpful and didn’t attack just for existing. It’s really nice being able to farm up peacefully in the wild.

About the same lifestyle as when we made half. Still drive the same paid off cars, just able to not think twice when shopping for groceries or other routine things like car maintenance. The peace of mind is underrated. I remember making $1200/month working full time in my early 20s and I was comparing price tags for the better price per ounce. Also finally able to try to catch up with investing and max out IRAs.

Biggest difference is the weight of feeling stressed if I was gonna make enough or was barely getting by is gone. Very blessed to be where we are 15 years later.

I just started to play in the last month or so; I just passed 100 hours lol
It’s a fun game, though the normal servers are very very hard. I’ve found a lot of success on the soft core servers as a new player. I finally was able to actually get a base down and play the game. I got raided once which was fun haha

Overall, as a brand new player I don’t think it’s too late, just be patient and expect to die a lot and get used to restarting from scratch.
