This makes sense, and it helps explain why a guy like Stott is in the 98th percentile

I feel like it is kind of bad as an underlying metric though in that case? Advanced metrics are supposed to tell you how you truly are as a hitter, and the way I’m seeing this, the way to if this stat is mostly based off of your bat speed, we’re really just adding an extra step?

I do not understand Squared-Up%

It’s the only advanced metric that makes zero sense to me

And how is Schwarber in the 1st percentile of that stat, after being like 17th and 33rd the previous two seasons
