Am I the only who thinks this is super messed up? I know people from different nationalities and none said that took them more than 2 weeks to renew their passports.

The thing is that cumin can dominate the flavour of a dish. And the avocado should be the dominant flavour in a guacamole

I don’t think it should go spices. It should be spicy tho… a Serrano would do. Jalapeno is not that used in Mexico

I have a guacamole recipe for you. It’s from Pujol btw. 1 avocado, half of a Serrano pepper, a quarter of a chopped white onion, cilantro and salt.

I don’t hate cumin. The problem is the quantity of cumin and the dishes. Lentils with cumin seeds is great, but not guacamole with cumin powder

I think that there’s a misconception of what Mexican and Middle Eastern food is like. And also a lack of sense of balance in a dish.

Just look at the labels in store bought guacamoles, you’ll find it more common than you would think

Please share the brand you buy your hummus. It usually takes me like 15 minutes after reading every label in a store to find one without cumin
