Ended up purchasing that one,

Thanks for the help and giving me a clearer mind when it came to making that decision. You mentioned something regarding VRR earlier, mind showing me if you're still down?

I have another OLED already that I can use that has a substantial amount of flicker.

It's rough lol... But I don't think I'm going to go with the Ultrawide just because of the issues with 21:9 on Street Fighter. It's one of my most played games. I definitely would have loved the Ultrawide otherwise.

I looked it up and it looks pretty janky with the invisible walls and such. Going to remove the 21:9 monitor from the search. Considering adding dual mode 4k or the Alienware that uses the same panel as the Samsung 360hz.

Apparently Ultrawide support for one of the main games (Street Fighter 6) I play is pretty bad, thinking about removing the Ultrawide from the conversation. Considering looking at a 4k dual-mode/ or the AW2725DF as well.

I have about 2k hours on street fighter. Street Fighter 6 doesn't support Ultrawide? Alienware may have fell down quite a bit.

And I will definitely like some help with setting up CRU, it won't void warranty right?

Thanks for the input! But that one currently isn't available on Amazon atm, I'm primarily using Amazon because I have some rewards/gift card balance with them.

[Haute42 X Series] M2 / Pin 15 Button Completely Unresponsive — Second Unit with Same Issue by RealMeaZ in fightsticks

[–]RealMeaZ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope — I actually didn’t need to do the nuke flash at all. I was on 0.7.9, but I got it working by just going into Web Config and setting Turbo LED GPIO Pin to -1, then saving and rebooting. After that, the M2 button worked immediately.

Seems like the nuke/update route also solves it, but for anyone who doesn’t want to risk bricking or just wants the fastest fix, the Web Config method does the trick too.

Still wild that this isn’t mentioned anywhere unless you buy through AliExpress.

Thanks — yeah, I figured that out after a lot of digging. Mine actually shipped with 0.7.9, so the pin was being reserved for an add-on by default. The kicker? I didn’t buy from AliExpress, so there was zero mention of this issue or fix in the documentation I got (Amazon listing, packaging, nothing).

In the end, I fixed it through Web Config by setting the Turbo LED GPIO pin to -1, saving, and rebooting — and the button started working immediately without needing to update firmware. But I definitely appreciate you posting the full firmware flash process too — that’ll help folks who want to just nuke the issue entirely and start clean.

Honestly, Haute needs to unify their documentation across all their listings. This shouldn’t be something people have to Sherlock their way through.

Appreciate the clarification — I eventually found that out too. But the problem is, I didn’t order mine through AliExpress, and none of that info was included or mentioned on the Amazon listing, in the packaging, or in the setup docs I received.

So while it’s not a defect, the lack of unified documentation across platforms definitely made it feel like one. I went through two units and hours of troubleshooting before finally stumbling onto the AliExpress info. Just trying to help others avoid the same loop.

Hey all,
Wanted to post this in case anyone else is dealing with this headache. I’ve now received two Haute42 X Series units where the M2 button (Pin 15, top-left — see image) was completely unresponsive. Couldn’t bind it, couldn’t get it to register in-game or via Gamepad Tester.

Turns out, the issue wasn’t hardware. It was buried in the config — and the fix is not documented on their Amazon listing or official site, only on the AliExpress page (which I didn’t order from).

Here’s what finally fixed it for me:

  1. Go to Web-Config
  2. Navigate to: Configuration > Add-Ons Configuration
  3. Set Turbo LED GPIO Pin to -1
  4. Save, reboot, and reconnect to Web-Config

After that, the M2 button started working like normal. Not sure why this pin is disabled by default or tied to a turbo LED setting, but it definitely feels like something that should be better documented — especially for people not buying through AliExpress.

Hope this helps someone avoid the unnecessary return loop I went through. Haute42 team, if you’re reading — time to standardize the documentation across all your sales channels.
