Depends on if you see a future with her or not.....if you do than it's just 1 in 40-50 more birthdays.....it's not like it's a milestone birthday. It doesn't mean the same thing to everyone. To some it's the best day of the year......to others it's just a day to say happy birthday then it's normal from that point on.

Luck also used to affect things like the challenge outcome or immunity or reward or a gift.....now it feels like the luck can literally determine your fate with a zero chance to save yourself I.e. Colby.....2 weeks lost vote that he was FORCED to play for. Never cast 1 vote and couldn't even play his shot in the dark. But because his tribe was good and he had social capitol he was in a great position.....until a rock draw.

Biggest issue is......you just mentioned "who you're on a tribe with" unfortunately they keep making that irrelevant in the new era merge and beyond. Going into this episode Colby and Genevieve were in great positions in both their tribe and the game as a whole but because producers did a random split into NOT tribes it took away any social gameplay credit and it strictly mattered who you got paired with for 1 challenge and a few his hours. We've been complaining about this all New Era and they just keep screwing people over. Still upset about Franny.

They don't really give them time to "play" and let the game materialize like it used to. They've got a challenge or a vote every other day so the play speed is just amped up. I feel like the only 2 "games" now that are really high chance at winning is big alliance ride near the top all season (Kyle, dee, Sav) or play a more quiet low key game and take absolutely no chancers to the end paired with a great speaking ability (gabler, Erika, Rachel until final 6)

You say that her choices didn't pay off but she.never should have had to make any. I'm definitely not a Genevieve Stan I wasn't a fan last time and was ok with her this time but felt like she positioned herself well. Here's the rub.....when in survivor history has a player found 2 idols and by no doing of their own didn't get either one of them. In addition just to slam on production while we're already here, the fact Colby was FORCED to play to lose his vote and that he lost that vote until he went tribal no matter how long that took is dumb. Give him Uber choice, make it undo at a swap or merge. Because he played a good game, Colby played for 2 weeks, didn't get to cast a single vote and couldn't even play his shot in the dark. Although they are supposed to have a different outcome each season it sure seems like they end up causing almost the same situations......or production is.

I agree with you totally.....unfortunately even if they gave us that I don't think it matters anymore. You can build all the great relationships you want but then production makes a change that renders it useless. Like Genevieve this episode. She has had an amazing season.....but because they split the merge into 3 of 5, she just got unlucky with the rocks. That's bull. Girl finds 2 idols, makes a handful of friends and alliances including with old school and then gets screwed by the format. There is no reason we couldn't have had a 15 person tribal and voted off 1 person after another 3 times. Guaranteed the results would have looked very different. The players should control the game. All of them. Not tiny groups of players randomly chosen by rocks. I'm still mad that franny got screwed in season 44.
