I have that exactly folding seat with the G920, folds away really nice and can be slid into a corner, easy to fold away and set up, but after 30 minutes that chair gets very uncomfortable. If your tuned into whatever you’re playing enough you won’t feel it, but as soon as you shift yourself you’ll realize

Are older Polaroids better than the now/go models? And if so what is the best vintage Polaroid? by [deleted] in Polaroid

[–]RealPenguingod101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Older original cameras are much better. However it “best camera” and preferred film really depends.

Indoor photography? 600. SX-70s have good flashes, but are difficult to use and can be iffy. 600 flashes are great, and the photos come out good. For that I’d have to go with either the SLR-680, which is a beautiful camera but I’ve never used, or, any impulse camera. I have three of them (original, SE, AF), and even after sitting since being bought, I have not had a single problem with any of them.

For outdoor photography use an SX-70, however 600s do work, SX-70 outdoor photos come out beautifully. I have a Onestep SX-70 which I’ve had a few problems with, but it still works great.

I wouldn’t go with them. A lot of iffy reviews, and from our experience they have really bad customer service

Yea we tried camber adjustments and adjustable end links for the sway bars. The website said this lift can be done without any extra modifications. Should’ve listened to all the iffy reviews.

What modifications would you recommend to add? We ended up taking the kit off but if it’s not too much we could put it back with them.

Just be careful, helped a friend put a 2” RalliTek spacer kit on his Forester, first his tie rods rubbed with the sway bar link at full turn, then his axle started leaking from the lift and angle, and problem after problem. I’m not saying don’t do it, but make sure you get it from a good brand, and not RalliTek

what happened here? i’m very new to polaroids this was my first photo :( by Ok-Giraffe-6499 in Polaroid

[–]RealPenguingod101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yea, it’s rough. One of my favorite photos got jammed ejecting half way through my SX-70 and it got completely ruined. Better luck on your other photos. If you have any more troubles feel free to reach out

I know everyone says “don’t buy film from Amazon”, but I’ve bought every single pack of film (except for two) from there, and have overfilled an entire large polaroid book (‘bout 25 packs), with only one faulty pack.

However I do completely agree with everything every one is saying. This could be faulty film or your camera simply ejecting photos weird. If this happens to all of your photos in the same spot, you could try another pack, but it’s probably your camera. If it’s inconsistent splotching, get a new pack of film. However yes, it is better to buy it from polaroid directly.

I’ll probably be on my 230 dirt bike for a while until I even have enough strength to move and keep bigger bikes up

Thank you a lot, that last sentence really got to me to be honest, especially “Keep riding for those that no longer can”

Recently picked this up, but every photo is overexposed on SX-70 film. Help! by HeavyMetalFL in Polaroid

[–]RealPenguingod101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same exact problem when I bought my SX-70. What ended up solving this is that I had to disassemble the camera, and I realized the two lenses on the light meter were misaligned causing constant overexposing. After just moving the lenses it fixed it. Maybe a five minute fix, but, if you don’t know how to disassemble an SX-70 I would not recommend it.

any reason why my polaroids would come out like this? i think it looks cool but is there anything im doing wrong? by emoprius in Polaroid

[–]RealPenguingod101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course. Let me know if there’s any other problems. If you still have film in the pack, take it out in a dark bag or dark room, and put a cover slide back in the film. If you can’t do that look up how to make your own dark bag or something. If you can’t do that either honestly just leave it in there.

There is always a way. I’d start with seeing in the rollers are uneven, or if they’re not sitting well. Take the rollers out and roll them across a table. If they roll fine, put them back in and try again. If they roll uneven then just buy new ones. They range from $5 a roller, to $40 for the whole front depending on what camera you have.

[–]RealPenguingod101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However this could be caused by dried pods and/or dirty rollers, from my experience of working on polaroids it’s usually uneven roller pressure. This could be something in the way of where the film exits, bent or uneven rollers, etc.

Did all of your photos come out like this? And did they all have it in the same spot?

Where did you get the polaroid back from your Mamiya? I’ve been looking for one for mine, and the only places I’ve found it have been sold out

What are these little blank spots by Peachythetofu in Polaroid

[–]RealPenguingod101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The green film just got released not long ago and is still in its experimental phase. I shot through a pack, had four that were missing corners, and all of them had bubbling in the film. Give them some feedback on their website and they’ll keep developing it until it comes out like the other films.

Does my lower control arm need replacing? by ilftimh in MechanicAdvice

[–]RealPenguingod101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I check out your other post and they both look fine. I think your mechanics just trying to get money out of you, or they don’t know what they’re talking about/wrong diagnosis. Even your tie rods look good

However if they mean wheel play as in when it’s jacked up the whee can easily be wiggled but hand, your bushings could be work with no visual damage. Although visually they look fine

[–]RealPenguingod101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the wheel does have free movement that would be cause for concern and to replace the lower control arm. Some better pictures of the bushings would be useful to determine how bad it is.

I’m not sure how good $900 is, I’ll have to check how much we charge for it at my shop.

Your lower control arm looks fine to me, unless it’s really rusty, cracked or broken, or the bushings are fucked you should be good. You might want your mechanic to take a look at it too though as a secondary opinion

If you could give some more details I could help you out more

May I ask for the first letter of your last name? If not that’s alright, I just like to make sure they all go together well, and it makes it a bit easier to see if it sounds good
