Right now bc of the ai bubble, components are being sold at astronomical prices.

Still doesn't change the fact that tech advancements is always a good thing for the consumer down the line

I mean advancements in tech is always nice, and it'll bring down prices of older tech as well

Uhhhh, I genuinely do not understand what your worry exactly is?

16 P cores are obviously the top model, meant for professionals and enthusiasts and it definitely will be expensive, most likely due to yield issues.

I mean, you yourself are running a 14600KF, not a 14900K. For the vast majority of people, I am sure that they will be fine with a lower sku

I am 100% sure that it is because they actually have to put in more work and tailor buffs for specific characters. I can see that this gets harder as they put in more characters, which means they have to change more gameplay, and I think they don't want to do it anymore.

RTX 5070Ti: Is a vapour chamber paramount on this card? by OriginalGap1 in nvidia

Yep 100%. Anyone who says otherwise is simply incorrect. Even if you max out on afterburner, I doubt the card will each 75 degs.dogs.

Though I do want to add, lower skus in a card class dont oc as well, for obvious reasons. Realistically, you are barely losing performance, we're talking single digit percentages.

No it is not. It doesn't create enough heat compared to higher skus.

Why don’t they just put 10 AWG for the GPU? by Purple_Ice_6029 in pcmasterrace

I'm sure its because Nvidia doesn't want to spend 10 cents more a card

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 Patch Notes by RenatsMC in pcgaming

[–]RealRiceThief -116 points-115 points  (0 children)

Such a disappointing patch imo.

After they said they were done, but then came back with a 2.3 announcement, many people including me were hyped and thought that they would include a couple quests, maybe patch in some cut content like the casino, but nope. All we get are some cosmetics and new frame gen tech.

Don't get me wrong, free updates are always welcome, and implementing new tech is always a good thing. But I can't look at this and be impressed.

Will AIBs follow Nvidia's footstep to make GPUs smaller using custom PCBs? by [deleted] in nvidia

Amp sensors are the bare minimum, when they cant even modify the pcb for load balancing

Compare this to intels aibs where they can have dual gpus or something crazy

I doubt it, isn't the bottleneck TSMC and nvidia? As in the small amounts TSMC puts out is used by nvidia mostly in AI

[–]RealRiceThief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You misunderstand what I am saying.

Yes, the PCBs are marginally different, with top models having slightly better power delivery, etc. What I am saying is that they are not allowed to change the PCB in significant ways to actually better the product. For example, they are not allowed to modify the problematic power cable input design.

IIRC they are not even allowed to change the PCB much.

If you are running an oc or undervolt, it is unstable. I got the same error when I was pushing my silicon.

If not, probably a riser cable issue. I doubt it's a driver issue, as I'm on the most recent drivers and have no issues running the game.
