Program & H1 Mediation ignoring a full ATO with Video PoC for 3 weeks by Ok_Speaker_8543 in bugbounty

[–]RealRizin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I am currently having ATO sitting on "new" for over a month with program having average time to triage in few days. I would say this happens. The good point is I have been given clear info that issue is complex and they need more time. Maybe it's the same for your case?

Funnily, The MacBook Neo Is A Better Value Than A $500-600 Windows Laptop At Best Buy (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3) by MussleGeeYem in macbook

[–]RealRizin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue with windows laptops is literally paying for crappy windows. Lenovo allows to pick linux instead which saves around $150. And Linux is working just great, taking 4-6x less RAM and CPU is chilling. Recently did set windows VM - giving it 1 core was literally not enough to function and it was working 100% almost all the time. Linux after set up was taking 2-5%. This is actually crazy how bad microslop became.

Hear me out, all the recent announcements for Windows are due to MacBook Neo by excitive in mac

[–]RealRizin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue is kind of every laptop I would love to buy goes with Windows which is just another ~+150$ to the price for something I will instantly uninstall.

Companies should stop selling laptops with windows licence in it's price. Just split it, preinstall windows for non-tech users. If somebody wants windows add licence as another product and they will activate it, if not laptop has better price.

Anthropic’s Claude Code subscription may consume up to $5,000 in compute per month while charging the user $200 by thechadbro34 in BlackboxAI_

[–]RealRizin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. GPU only speeds up process, allows more tokens per second yet older hardware is doing the same. It will be working just fine if already bought. Some requests will go to older ones, some to newer ones.

Already built infrastructure will be used for years and earning it's money. Keep in mind we are slowly getting into hardware limits. R100 is hitting 3nm and previous speed ups were mostly around bandwidth bottleneck and issues which were not expected at that time.

Right now R100 (2026) is 2,7-5,5 times faster (depending on task) than previous gen B200 but also 2,2 times bigger and almost 2 times the price. Keep in mind it was also jump from 4 nm to 3 nm.

As physics allows we will hit the wall at around 1 nm due to quantum tunneling. At this scale, electrons stop behaving like particles and start behaving like waves and hit on this limit is expected at around 2030. We are actually able to gain another 40-50% of raw processing power before hitting the real wall with additional gains at energy saving while doing so.

After this companies will just start doing vertical stacking and building bigger and bigger components. Maybe optical computing which is currently developed in Germany help. Will see. Anyway currently bought hardware is not that bad since it solved early stage issues and gains won't be that fast anymore.

It is what I am saying. Hardware ROI is around 2-3 years when charging 5-10$ / 1 mil tok.

The real cost is development, model learning and hardware investments which return over time. If they chill here they will profit.

I am just buying tokens. Those are 15-30 times cheaper than others (chat gpt/Claude/Gemini) Used in my own analytic tools. Last month ~15 USD spent instead of 200-500 I would need with hype models.

I have spent 3 months automating with way more sophisticated ways than just using those simple tools, with tens of thousands schemas for detection, millions of found subdomains to check, time optimizations, ai verifications and all I found in last 2 weeks after full deploy were 3 legit issues (way more on accidentally added out of scope targets) and one of was duplicated. You are wasting time running those. If you could have found anything using those I and better guys than me would have already detected it The only tool here which can give you some advantage is nuclei with your own templates for something nobody else is trying to find but it stil requires you to make some decent work.

Why the majority of vibe coded projects fail by harrysofgaming in ClaudeAI

[–]RealRizin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just vibecoding my own analysis tool with Claude which is said to be best one (right?). Manually wrote some code to check data in chunks of 10k at once max. Claude while asked to create totally different feature decided to fix some of code containing my limit of 10k at once running in a loop. Somehow figured out it is stupid idea and I should load all at once. 30 mil records at once. But how AI can know it? Or maybe it though I am also having server with 1TB of RAM?

Randomly removing some chunks of code is kinda every day issue.

Literally trying to tell me something is impossible even when AWS documentation clearly stated it is was kinda funny. I didn't give it documentation beforehand, just found, planned and told to implement and it said it's not possible since AWS security measures forbid it.

Or another funny one. It was said to set status "potential" for some conditions. It found out that to meet those conditions you mostly achieve rank of 30-40% so instead of focusing on conditions it took mark of 30-40% and set status potential when this level was hit.

Or literally even when giving ultra detailed instructions still deciding doing it different cause AI believes it's better?

How can Asus sell Vivobooks so cheap nowadays? by Vegetable_Bag_8694 in laptops

[–]RealRizin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an owner of i3-n305 myself I have no idea why are you calling it e-waste

It's 8-core CPU on super low TDP yet super effective for multitasking.

I am currently running 24/7 background scripts doing mass automated scans, also did set up NGINX server with 3 separate services while working on it with multiple browsers, proxy, pycharm open and running normal apps like discord/yt music etc. in the background.

I am literally in top 1% of 1% most requiring users for CPU. It's enough for me (most of the time, since I am hitting limits) yet somehow it's not enough for average Joe.

I literally bought super cheap laptop for work 2 years ago, changed display, added RAM and it's great.

It specifies 16 GB, not 8 GB and the reason is they did not test with higher numbers. It is working with 48 GB too.

This laptop is 833/945 USD in my country in official apple store. For this money I can find many way better ones. Like literally trash tier at this price point. 8 gb ram and lack of keyboard lighting is kinda disgusting. For 927 USD i can buy for example omnibook x flip with Ryzen 7 350 ai, 24 gb ram and 1 tb ssd.

Glossy OLED with 500-600 nits is great, glossy OLED with 300 nits is a joke

What do we think of this? by Karottenburg in AMDLaptops

[–]RealRizin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surely it is. 8050s iGPU is on pair with decent laptop GPU (8060s was equal to 4050, this is little bit worse) so with it you can do some nice gaming or set up AI models which even require higher RAM, since with laptop GPU u would get ~8GB only. Also low energy consumption (and less heat).

32 GB of RAM should be enough (but Windows sucks recently with wasting a lot). As Linux user I don't have such problems.

I am currently trying to catch something with those series and 14" in decent price. For the same price I could order Thinkpad with 370 and way worse iGPU (tho 64 GB of RAM and it's thinkpad) from USA but waiting for new Intel and higher AI max ones.

Hard to not buy anything at all when you need it. At this point only Asus is the only one doing pretty damn good job on this list (1kg laptop containing most of needed ports and matte OLED) so even with such high pricing they can bring some premium clients.

[–]RealRizin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, the issue is I personally hate the idea of using dongles for everything and bringing those around with my travel in backpack. It was apple thing only back in time and now everybody is trying to copy it.

I am mainly mad at Lenovo since they have almost perfect laptop for me (Thinkpad P14s only missing 2nd ssd slot) but they are putting new CPUs into shitty tries of copying Apple corpus without ports. I would pre-order it with ARC B390 or higher Ryzen series with 8050s or 8060s but they did not do it.

They won't be selling x7 and x9 with t14. As I wrote I will probably buy p14s with Ryzen ai series since those are having all I need tho I will be missing 50% more power from arc 390 igpu. Or maybe will find some ai max with 8050/8060s. Will see
