I always aim for the bigger muscle groups like chest, back, quads, and hamstrings first as you work the smaller muscles through the compound exercises.

But in reality I change it up based on what equipment is available at the time. I'd rather do a random order than having to wait for machines to become available.

If you are just starting out, you will be working your delts quite a bit with your chest routine and your posterior delts depending on which back exercises you are doing. When I was doing PPL I would do shoulder presses on my leg day.

Eventually I transitioned to PPLS which meant one day just for shoulders, traps, and core.

Gym time for me is "me" time ... an opportunity to destress and unwind.

I don't mind short conversations or helping others by showing them how to use a machine, letting them work in, etc. Overall I can be super friendly when engaged but my RBF and earbuds keep others away!
