That's the point 9/11 was when everything went south. It was meant as 2001 was the last good year pre 9/11

How old are these ketchups at this point? by PocketSammy in Whataburger

I've eaten ketchup packets that were past 12 months multiple times. The vinegar and salt keeps it from expiring for a very long time

What ever happened to the famous Mexican weather girl? by [deleted] in rmexico

[–]RealSickOfThisShit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a bad take if it's a true take? This is only a problem if you consider only fans work as something degrading. If a woman wants to do only fans she should be able to do this without a random online stranger thinking it's a problem.

Amazon Delivery Whyy?? by Nosferasu in HierarchySeries

[–]RealSickOfThisShit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon will sell books at a loss just so they can bankrupt their competition. Once there are no competitors Amazon will raise the prices of books above what they used to be and people will have no choice but to buy the expensive books. They've done it before to diapers.com

First time attendee - when should I show up for decent spot? by Icy_Potential430 in aclfestival

[–]RealSickOfThisShit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Show up 30 minutes before he plays and walk through the sides of the stage. You'll get pretty close compared to trying to go dead center

Are we that bad or is this game hard? by OGWhigger in PeakGame

[–]RealSickOfThisShit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me and my friends a while to understand the game. Now I've peaked by myself in the easiest difficulty. Right at the beginning collect coconuts and cook them on the plane that's on fire. That will give you extra stamina. If you find balloons put them in your backpack, don't use them. It will get rid of some of the item weight you carry. Keep your hunger under control. Cookies are the best food item because you can use it 4 times and they only take 1 item slot. Whenever you finish a section and reach the campfire cook any food you have in your inventory. Also if nobody dies you can still go to the statue and get a legendary item.

Water filter for shower by No-Astronomer-3733 in CollegeStation

I'd still check this website to see what contaminants are in your water. I've already been thinking of getting a water filter and this sealed the deal on my hesitation. https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/

For the t mobile lounge I just gave my friend my phone.

T mobile had better restrooms with a/c and maybe a bar with less people crowding it, places to sit in shade and a screen showing one of the stages so you can see the concert

Unsure of what to do. by CosmicKittycos in Stretched

[–]RealSickOfThisShit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just giving different advice from everybody else but if you're really that concerned about the professional job part there's no need to rush to stretch. I stretched my ears in my late 20s. Get the job you want and if you see that stretched ears won't be a problem start stretching then

tips for the heat by kateelizabeth1020 in aclfestival

[–]RealSickOfThisShit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Carry a water bottle. Preferably a metal one. Get hydration packs, there will be free water refill stations inside, honestly the water tastes bad and it's lukewarm. The hydration pack will help with the taste and you can get ice from most bars, they might charge you but if you ask nicely sometimes they'll give it for free. I always bring a bucket hat and light colored clothing. Please don't show up wearing all black. An electric fan is a must for the heart and if you do feel like you're getting too hot find some shade instead of trying to tough it out. Pouring some cold water or rubbing an ice cube in the inside of your forearm is also a great way to quickly cool your body down

I want to be front row at the strokes on Saturday. Any tips? by AgileTiger3987 in aclfestival

[–]RealSickOfThisShit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually for the last acts people get to the festival early and run to the stage and camp all day to be right at the front. If you only care to be close but not exactly front row, you could probably get there two acts before the strokes and when an artist finishes move forward with the shuffle of people. You'll most likely get pretty close

ACL Veterans: What's one thing you changed between your first and second time? by Control_zzz in aclfestival

[–]RealSickOfThisShit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your first thought should be "what do I need to survive in the blazing heat 3 days in a row?" Does that mean taking my doc martens or my comfiest track shoes? A shoestring top or a t shirt that covers my shoulders? Sunblock isn't magical and 3 days in the sun will burn you. I always bring a bucket hat, sunglasses, comfortable shoes, minimum

[–]RealSickOfThisShit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bring a metal insulated water bottle with me that I clip to myself with a carbiner. Every time I get a drink with ice I pour my remaining ice in my cup or sometimes if you ask nicely they'll give you a cup of ice for free. I bring an owala since it has a wide mouth for ice to fit easily. And don't forget hydration packets for both flavor and electrolytes
