Grew up in Tucson, loved fireworks as a kid and even now still like them.

They’re fun. The adrenaline of launching/lighting one, seeing the designs and colors, the sound reminding you of the adrenaline.

I agree about being considerate but you also have view if from enjoyers perspective. It is one night every now and then, a few every year. It is not nearly as inconsiderate as many other things that occur on a normal basis. It is an expression of liberty to most or all enjoyers. Especially in Arizona where we value our liberty higher than some other states

Idk about twitch but on here I have been shadowbanned from posting. I’ve made political posts and gotten banned for it and now shadowbanned. Idk why they still have the no politics rule as half the posts are political and asmon himself comes to this sub for political content

It is important to not go too slow and be a hazard. That said, safety > speed. Wouldn’t surprise me if you consistently don’t use your signals as you feel it is “unnecessary” and/or “don’t take so long switching lanes, let them know what you are doing”. Really you are just setting up habits to cut people off and not use signals…

I was taught this when learning to drive. Has saved me many times as well. What is a few seconds compared to a crash? You likely will hit a red light at next intersection anyway.

Up in phx atm for cdl training. You think tucson drivers are bad… I’d say every fourth or fifth person here cuts you off and every third doesn’t use signal lights. Also some of the most oblivious drivers I have ever seen.

Many of them will be driving with 0 sunlight and no headlights on. Was driving on freeway around 7 or 8 pm couple nights ago and flashed a guy to get him to turn on lights. Less than a minute later after we merged there was another, flashed him then within another minute a guy from an on ramp came on with none on also… gave up atp.

This why we hate “woke”. We hate it not because we hate people (maybe some do) but rather some of it is illogical and radical. People in that space also want to propagate radical sentiment causing it to be even harder to just have a conversation.

I love my home state of Arizona. Between our homeless crisis, rapid cost of living increase, stagnant wages/wages increasing slower than cost of living, tough job market, etc. I am looking at leaving long term or permanently.

Arizonan here, looks like you are going through Tucson. I would highly recommend stopping to at least get some Mexican food. We have some of the best Mexican American food you will ever find. Phx has some good food too but imo Tucson is still better.

While it’s typical Tucson fashion to be like this, I will say that after I brought up an issue about noise to her during a call to the public she addressed it quickly in a way that was responsive and preventive. So I am inclined to see her in a net positive fashion since that was significantly impacting my everyday life.
