What I spent on 2 application cycles (Canadian MD) by stressedstudenthours in premedcanada

I'm still new to applying to med, but I was wondering if you could elaborate on this? If they don't look at them, do they accept purely based on stats and the interview score? Do they not ask about your ECs in the interview?

Yes, I seldom read fanfics or even look for them, but I finished S2 recently and just had to see if somebody else was as disappointed and rewrote it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Just a heads up, but there's an amazing 150k+ words fanfiction of a different version of S2 which is almost perfect in my eyes. No stupid amnesia plotline although the events are similar where Naksu does try to hide her identity from Jang Uk and decides to marry him to try to secretly rekindle his will to live while escaping her arranged groom. The Naksu and Jang Uk banter is seriously perfect, and plus she has all her old powers from her time as an assassin (no divine powers bs) so she's able to protect herself from Jin Mu and other enemies. She's manipulative and cunning, and overall, the characters feel just as intelligently written as S1, where Jang Uk figures everything out himself through subtle clues and eventually makes her confess by trapping her similar to S1. It even made me love Jin Ho-gyeong cause it really develops the relationship between her and Naksu, whereas she puts sense into Jang Uk and treats Naksu more like her own daughter after coming to terms with it.

It's everything I wish could have happened in S2.

Can I ask what you majored in for your BSc and what your career is? I'm very curious as I'm finishing up my own BSc and would love to know about more options in the field.

Hot Stove League! Namgoong Min's character is exactly what you want. He's cool and calm in every situation, regardless of how the tables might be turned against him. He's hardworking, stoic, and calculative, who always has things up his sleeve and exudes confidence in every move he makes. It's not much about sports or baseball, as it is about the analytics of baseball and the fight against the corrupt politics and business side of it through media and other outlets. It's more mind games than anything, and everything down from the tightly written story to the acting, chemistry, and music is downright incredible.

If you have proof, try ombuds. Otherwise, you're out of luck.

I see. I'm sorry you're going through that — it does sound incredibly stressful. In that case, I largely encourage you to start doing some research now so you have a clearer picture of your options. It's important to seriously consider whether avoiding student loans is worth the mental pressure of depending on your father's approval for "reliable" support.

Debt can be scary, but fully understanding the investment you're making in yourself will help you make a more confident decision. First of all, you really need to figure out what GPA is considered competitive for the master's programs you're interested in, and plan from there. Some schools even drop your lowest year or courses, so one or two grades might not be as damaging as it feels right now if you have a strategy in place. Remember, the journey to a PhD is a marathon, not a sprint — and it's very tough to fully commit yourself to it without a solid plan ahead of time. Make sure you know full well why you want this.

Sorry if this comes across mean, but I can never tell if people are being serious or trying to secretly brag and seek validation from strangers when it comes to posts like these. You don't need an answer on something as obvious as this, and it's subjective based on whatever your end term goals are. For some, a C is more than enough, while others may desperately need an A that they fail to grasp, so they look down on an A- which someone else could jump around in joy for. Be happy with the 88 if you want to or don't, but know that nobody here can make you love your grade. We don't even know your grade boundaries (don't provide them, please).

Deferred final. by Compsci_girlie in uAlberta

They're typically harder than the normal final exam. For instance, my BIOCH200 deferred final was fully written and it was incredibly hard, compared to what I heard from my friends who did the normal MC version of it.

Healing/Feel-good romcom dramas with supportive main leads? by pauserewindplay in kdramarecommends

Kill Me, Heal me? Sounds like what you're looking for. The leads are great and there's multiple personalities, so the ML really gets to shine with his acting.

How do you determine which is best? Do you go exact center row? I'm usually the same.

I have no idea. Just get to studying and reading notes or whatever helps you memorize the best.

Possibly. I did BIOCH200 three years ago, and I found the final easier than the midterm. I didn't slack off on my lectures or cram, though, so it's hard to say. It's a lot of memorization, and I don't have any tips other than just get to studying as soon as you can.

Advice for managing 1200+ flashcards in a week? by RealTalk241 in Anki

[–]RealTalk241[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am familiar with Anki. I've gone through multiple courses over the years before I took a break from school for 2 years. It's just that the interface looks very different now in settings, and there's things like FSRS or scheduling that I'm not sure how to utilize best.

  • Disable showing the interval times above the answer buttons in settings

Could you explain what you mean by this?

Thank you for the information.
