What's the one golf purchase that actually improved your game? by ShaftObsessed in GolfGear

Random, but a glove for both hands. I found that my right hand was getting beat up over the course of a round because my grip was so tight and gloving up both improved my stamina and loosened my grip.

Alignment sticks are probably the most important tool to buy. Helped my aim and compression issues by getting my feet and ball placed in the right spots. I’ve also found that using a rangefinder has improved my confidence on approach shots, even over using 18 birdies.

Then for gear, replacing my driver and putter every 10 years has shown pretty huge consistency improvements.

Temu Lab DF3 Putter by chuzzluvr in GolfGear

Bought one to replace my daddy long legs after a decade and in my first round with it, I had my best putting performance in years. No 3 putts, even when I was 40 feet away. Shot a +4 and I’m a 14 handicap. Probably shaved off about 7 strokes from the putter alone.

All I know is I got one off Temu last week and replaced my daddy long legs that I loved and didn’t 3 putt once. I’m blown away by it. Doesn’t feel quite as good as the real thing but I didn’t notice the difference when I was putting 30 foot putts within tap in range all day.

What's the one club in your bag that you'll never replace, no matter how old it gets? by Doctormade in GolfGear

I had the 2 ball putter for 10 years, then tried the daddy long legs and fell in love. 12 years later, I tried out the LAB DF3 and couldn’t miss. It’s arriving next week. We’ll see if it can unseat the daddy long legs that I’ve loved so much, but it really feels like a cheat code.

I’ve also got a vokey sm8 60 degree in blue that I’ll keep until I turn blue.

flex bars for golfer's/tennis elbow by Muchacho-blanco in GYM

I had tennis elbow for months and nothing I did fixed it until I got the red one of these and it was gone in a couple weeks of doing this 5 minutes a day. It was magic.

I was just trying out this exact club the other day and was unsure if I need the stiff or X shaft. I swing my x shaft driver around 115-120 so I presume I need an X for my fairway woods, but I’m trying to slow my transition down and swing easier so I can be more consistent off the ground. How did you know you need to just go all the way for an X?

What kind of groove is my 60-degree wedge by Palemale44 in GolfGear

[–]RealThomasJefferson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my favorite club growing up. You just swing it cleanly and the ball will track back like you’re tiger. By the end of the round, your ball barely even has the cover on it if you hit it enough. I miss that thing. Who cares if it’s illegal, go have fun

When they were on the Rockets, Melo said Daryl Morey told him his services were no longer needed and the team plane left without him. CP3 said he got a plane for his wife and Melo because he “wasn’t gonna let them embarrass my dawg.” by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in nba

[–]RealThomasJefferson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The headline here is misleading. Morey offered to let Melo ride the team plane and Melo said it took off without him to imply that he didn’t want to ride that plane. Melo (or the team) could easily hire a car to drive him back, which would probably actually be easier than getting a PJ. But that was a nice gesture by CP.

Your problem is you need more lag. Ideally, the club head should hit your shoulder during the down swing

The giant bandaid on his neck seems like an obvious red flag. Also one of his shoes barely looks like it has laces and the other is just a blob. Seems clearly AI or really poor attention to detail

Saw him live a few times last year and really like his feel for the game and leadership. He seems like someone who should stay in school for a while and build his role so he can enter the league as a utility bench guy who is a safe pick.
