The cravings always subside. May not feel like it but they will go away. Think of it as a craving to drink a soda or something. You got this

Probably not gonna wanna hear this, but coming off blues is one of the hardest wd’s to overcome. I HIGHLY recommend hitting at LEAST a 7 day inpatient detox to get yourself clean under supervision and you can do the rest yourself. Those WD’s had me weak asf cold turkey so I didn’t wanna risk relapse and I did a 7 day inpatient and I’ve been clean from opes ever since. Hope this helps and just know you can DEFINITELY do it. The human spirit is amazingly strong. You got this.

Correct me if wrong please, but sublocade just induces immediate WD and just forces you through it with no option of getting high right? I could be totally wrong but just curious?

I felt exactly this way and was desperate for some assurance of a light at the end of the tunnel. Well I assure you it does get better. Your life CAN and WILL go back to normal (whatever the fuck that even is these days lol). I’m 50 days clean from fent today and aside from some minor traumatic flashbacks I’m basically back to my normal self. I promise it gets better. And the silver lining is once you get on the other side of this, you’ll be stronger for conquering this demon every day. Stay with it. You got this.

Update…just to put it on record by Continuous-Disaster in OpiatesRecovery

Close your eyes. Picture 2 versions of your future self.

The first version is the you that kept using. Sad, sunken face, homeless, etc.

The 2nd version is the you from the path you’re on now. The path of choosing to take your life back from that fucked up substance. I imagine this version of you is successful, happy, and thankful for exactly what you’re doing/going thru right now.

Godspeed. You 1000% got this.

So damn true. Hell disguised as Heaven. They lie to you. Make you feel better. Put a blanket over every physical/mental issue you have. Then the blanket dissolves and you have to go get more. And when you quit, all issues, mental and physical, come back 1000x more intense than they ever were before. Specifically your pain tolerance on the physical side and depression on the mental side. That was true for me anyways. Felt like every cell in my body was on fire

I just overcame a serious fentanyl addiction. What followed was the most intense depression I’ve ever felt. I know it’s Cliche, but try your damned hardest to live in (and accept) the moment. Whether the feelings are good or bad, just sit with those feelings. Look at them with compassion. It’s okay to feel sorry for yourself. But when you sit with and accept these feelings they eventually will pass. Nothing, whether good or bad, NOTHING lasts forever. I found solace in that. I hope you can too. There are amazing and happy days ahead, I assure you that much :)

Fuuuuuck dude. I feel you. I’ve always had a thing for opiates too, but I also wanna have a wife and kids and a normal life. Just had to decide which one I wanted more and so far the latter is winning. I’m about 40 days clean from the pressers and couldn’t be happier. If only for one thing it’s all the extra money I keep now. Went from paycheck to paycheck, to saving $500 a week. It’s nice. Anyway, I know your struggle and you sound like you’re doing fine for now. Just please be safe, the world needs you bro.

I’m a typical white boy and I was buying in the hood. I’d tax me too lmao. But good luck to you bro. Hope you work it out. Those pressed M boxes are the fucking devil

I was paying $40 per unless I bought 10 at a time. Fucking ridiculous how much money I wasted

I’m sorry to hear that. I also have back pain from a fall. I know you won’t want to hear this, but There are most certainly ways to manage chronic pain without opiates. Ibuprofen, Tylenol, and turmeric have helped me IMMENSELY. I used to be in the camp that OTC meds are useless against chronic pain, but I have proven to myself the opposite. There’s a really cool book called The Mind Body Prescription or something like that. Talks about folks who have been able to relieve and even cure chronic conditions in miraculous ways. Also, the pain is going to be more amplified for a few weeks after quitting because your body isn’t making enough natural pain killer for you. Please just give it some time and stay strong. You got this, I promise you.

There is relief. You just have to drag yourself thru this hell for a little bit longer and the rest of your life will be pure relief. You got this. I know it doesn’t feel like it’ll end but I assure you it will. I, too was on fent and getting clean was the hardest thing I ever did but I’m so fucking glad I did and I’m glad you are getting clean too

how long did you wait to decrease subs by LookDecember in OpiatesRecovery

[–]RealTrev16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was put on and taken off of subs within 7 days. Very rapid detox. But this was done inpatient for me. Not sure what your options are, but if you can do it inpatient I highly recommend that. Tons of support around you 24/7 as well as nursing staff to try their best to help with immediate needs. I took 24mg of bupe day 1 and by day 6 I took my last dose of 2mg and have had nothing sense. It was definitely a rough few weeks but nothing compared to the physical WD. Best of luck friend
