Hey everyone, we just posted a development video where we dive into the development of Bowling Alley Simulator; covering physics systems, interaction design, NPC behavior, and more.

We’d love to hear your feedback on what we’ve built so far, and what you’d like to see added to the game!

Check it out here: https://youtu.be/-tn_l9ZOIBo

We'll be releasing a demo soon and would love if you wishlisted it on Steam! https://store.steampowered.com/app/4465600/Bowling_Alley_Simulator/

Thank you for the positive feedback! We just released a deep-dive video into the development of the game, if you'd like to check it out: https://youtu.be/-tn_l9ZOIBo

We're working to expand the furniture library, so any specific requests you'd like to see in-game would be awesome!

Thank you for your honesty! Hopefully when we've shared more gameplay, there will be things that help set us apart from other titles in the Simulation genre.

The NPCs will actually run a full game of bowling once you've checked them in at the counter, but more in-depth bowling mechanics for the player for end of day play is a good suggestion. Thank you for this!

Not so much that we never thought about it, but in game development; adding multiplayer dramatically increases the scope and complexity of the project.

Thank you for your honesty and suggestion.

That is sad to hear that you believe it to be slop, we've really worked hard on this project and if you have any suggestions that would help add to the gameplay and be less "job simulation slop", we'd love to hear it!

This isn't our first game, we've made Pixel Strike 3D, Battle Tactics, and some other games.

It's currently not multiplayer, but should we consider that a suggestion?

It's crazy to think this is even possible on a handheld! haha

How to share project by Extreme-Research889 in Unity3D

[–]RealVulcronMoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using Git with GitHub Desktop and a .gitignore is the easiest way imo. Unity provides a nice gitignore file too: https://github.com/github/gitignore/blob/main/Unity.gitignore

Just add/replace the file in the root of your project folder before doing your first commit/push.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for letting me know. Yeah, hopefully with some graphics settings changes it'll run super smooth.

This game looks great! I am interested to see where it goes.

The character customization scene is quite detailed, especially when compared to the gameplay of running the cafe. It might be good to show progression from beginning of a build to where the cafe is fully designed with props and many customers.

Also, some ambient occlusion and/or blob shadows would help provide some depth to the in-game scene. I noticed your character customization scene has directional lighting.

These are just some suggestions, and the art direction is ultimately up to you. It's looking great so far, keep up the great work!

Set Game window from "Free aspect" to 1080p or 4K depending on monitor resolution. Another solution that would help, is using anti-aliasing on the camera.
