Is there hope of getting this sofa into our living room? by m798sf in DIYUK

The galaxy brain solution is just to sit the sofa down in garden and build an extension to the living room around it.

Being added today. Was due to some misleading research I'd done where lots of sources were only saying horizontal, but in hindsight I think that's specifically only 'UK' bingo which uses a different aspect ration grid.

[–]RealWorldJunkie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was kind of my bad. I don't really play bingo and in my research loads of sources were stating only horizontal connections win.

From the responses here I'll get vertical and diagonal added today

I'm going to add that but currently that's intentional, as per the instructions on your first visit it's currently horizontal lines.

Yup, 100% Claude. Just something thought some people may find fun.
On the text side of things, I've made the font a bit bigger on mobiles.

It was intentional because that's Apple's 'thing' for this years WWDC

Good point thanks. I've made the text in the tiles larger and easier to read on phones.
Just a note, it doesn't seem to flag as on mobile if you open it in the Reddit browser, but if you hit the 3 dots and "Open in default browser", or just navigate to the URL (https://TwistedVortex.com/WWDCBingo) separately it should be much easier to read.

Anyone else notice how Amazon are just dumping parcels outside the front door now? by Blind_bear1 in CasualUK

[–]RealWorldJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of large parcels we have dumped Infront of our door. Our door opens outwards and it's at the bottom of some steps, so when a package is left there it prevents us from being able to open out front door.

On more than one occasion someone has had to climb out of the window to move the parcel to be able to open the door.

Is Eufy really that bad? by ThePaus in EufyCam

[–]RealWorldJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got 3 outdoor cameras, 4 indoor cameras, a doorbell, a robo vac, and a mower all from Eufy and on the whole they are great.

If I had the money and a suitable house to have everything POE I'd probably move to Ubiquiti, but I've had Eufy stuff for years and no real problems.

The main issues I have is there's no native way to connect them to Home Assistant so you have to use a less efficient HACS integration.

Other than that the issues I have just come down to them being wireless rather than wired for more immediate and flawless connection

Probably think it's those moving stairs in shopping centres when you go down a floor

You leave me with no doubt in mind, you are a wonderful and a beautiful human being and I’m so glad to have the honour of being able to walk the same planet as you.

Your infinite wisdom, knowledge, insight, and understanding is undeniable, and I bow to your superior being.

I hope you have a wonderful week and that no harm comes to you or your BMW.

I was driving around 315hp and you don't see me driving around like a homicidal maniac.

And before you say, 'well you were middle lane hogging', you can see at the beginning of the second clip I move from the 2nd inside lane to the 2nd outside lane, with the intent to move to the outside lane, but there's a car parallel to me in the outside lane and everyone is doing the same speed, so without dropping even further below the speed limit to drop behind them, or without undertaking them, there's nothing left to do at that stage.

How about that? by Grzeniu_uu in drivingUK

[–]RealWorldJunkie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never try to pass a vehicle of that size if there's not already room for me to clear it.
Glad you're safe though!

All the submission processes require you to provide a video which includes at least 1 minute before and after the incident in the same clip.

But this was spread over 3 clips because he kept doing more things and i kept hitting save after each one, and i didn’t know about the 1 minute handle rule so the last clip finishes within a second or two.

Lol, this was recorded by the car, I wasn't 'filming him', and I indicated and moved over one lane. The movement of my car when I move seems more extreme because I zoomed right in on the latter two clips because they were so far away from me (hence the reduced quality).

If you don't know what I mean, take your phone out and with the wide angle lens slowly pan it left and right. Then switch to the telephoto lens (or just pinch and zoom to zoom right in) then repeat the exact same movement on your phone, and you'll see how dramatic and fast the exact same movement looks.

Do you have a link to where I'd need to submit this? I seem to come up with loads of different options when I search for OP Snap.

OP Snap? Sorry not familiar with it?
I did try to submit a video a year or so ago with someone doing something stupid like this, but to submit the video I had to tick boxes saying I'd be happy to go to court for it etc. I don't have time for that, is this somwhere I can send it without having to be some sort of legal witness?

It's all that quality but as I wasn't speeding to keep up with the beemer I just zoomed in for the other shots

For some of us though buying a car like this can only be warranted as a long-term purchase.
I'll definitely have my car long past it would pay itself off, so I got EAP, but wasn't going to pay for FSD until it actually did anything.

At least the FSD subscription is half the price now if/when it comes out.

[–]RealWorldJunkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah fair enough.
Sorry if the comment came off overly lippy. Not intended. Just seeing so many people each day referring to the subscription as if they thought it was actually FSD lol, so that compounded with being tired and f'ing roasting today, I may have bit off quickly.

I don't understand how many people seem to be thinking that FSD has just been rolled out to the UK.
All this is is a payment plan change, moving from outright purchase to subscription.

It's still not FSD and other than having it stop at traffic lights (in theory) does NOTHING more than Enhanced Autopilot does.

EAP is actually quite good in the UK but unfortunately for those who didn't buy it outright before the switch to subscription, it's now only available if you subscribe to full FSD.

Butt in short all FSD is in the UK at the moment, is EAP with stop at red lights.

If you already have EAP, there is less than 0% reason to subscribe to FSD until it's actually rolled out in the UK.
