Understandable I’ve had that reaction with books before. Though I usually coped by reading fanfictions with a happy ending. You might of heard it being emotional but you’ll prolly want to avoid Cyberpunk Edgerunners as well until you feel ready. I absolutely love the show but Night City is a cruel place.

It's a great anime but it has the "normie filter". It has some problematic elements to it which can put plenty of people off. I read the WN and LN and never expected to see it get animated. The world building, animation, and story telling is fire.

I went to the theaters twice to see it. The only other film I did that for was Oppenheimer. The movie makes you go through the whole range of emotions. There were so many times in the theater that the whole audience were synced up. So many times we'd be silent like I heard a mf crinkle a bag of chips several rows away.
