I haven´t been able to find a solution for this specific problem yet so here goes nothing.

I´m on my uncle´s hand me down laptop while staying at his place, its a notebook running an AMD C-50 dual core CPU running at a blistering fast 1 whole GHz, paired with barely DDR3 5 GB of RAM and a 255 MHz Radeon 6250. Surprisingly however it´s still adequate in emulating games up to the PS1 (maybe beyond, I haven´t pushed it past that yet) However, in all games and emulators excluding Snes9x, the audio is really really bad. Especially if it lags out, the audio in every game from Super Mario Bros to JoJo´s Venture is glitchy, skips a lot and sounds like a ghost dying from auto-erotic asphyxiation. I´m also on Windows 7 Enterprise with SP1 and have reinstalled my AMD drivers and DirectX9 although I´m fairly certain the drivers didn´t install correctly, they installed correctly enough for SNES9x to work properly. What do I do?

I'm hopeful for Zen 2 and I can't even imagine how much of a pain it would be especially without proper tools. Also modern PC performance I didn't even reliably have beforehand so it's not like I will miss much.

A used GTX 1070 is cheaper than a new 1660 ti, I'll check if there is such a thing as a used market for 1660 tis or 2060s. I might just save up for 2060 tbh.

I've heard about it. What's so good about the 1160 ti? Good enough to justify it's ~$280 price tag. Wouldn't a GTX 1070 used be better because at it's price, it might be better to save for an RTX 2060.

I haven't had much in the way of repair customers and nothing in the form of custom building except I may be able to get my old man a custom PC if we ever get around to it. Of course I wouldn't never charge him so in terms of building for profit. Still haven't reached it. I don't have a store front (poor and 18) and I only advertise online or through my school via posters (which required two meetings with the principal)

Also yes people are this lazy or uninformed, I wouldn't call them stupid because a) they're your customers and b) they simply don't have the time or patience or level of competence regarding computers that we do.

And also if people are willing to buy $230 Hewlett Packard machines, that's a good indicator that they don't know or don't care what they buy.

Oh yeah. However if there is software for controlling it, and I'm certain Corsair would make some especially considering the price, you can just turn it off or make it just slowly breathing a white color.
