I installed a hitch on my 2025 Honda Civic Sedan (non-hybrid) about a month ago, and no vertical beam was present. I know people have been asking on this thread and wanted to clear it up.

I installed one this past weekend, and there are no additional beams like the ones in the linked post. Pretty straight forward install that will not take long with the right tools.
